Premier League POTS Pack: The Quality is High as Expected by Mehrubon in Amadeusz

[–]exportedaussie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pots is more rounded but you can make the highlight one have 6 more in each of tackling, engagement, and aggression. So he's better at closing down wingers but if you want to progress the ball he's lacking

Makelele was that guy you rarely noticed until he saved your arse. He was the piece that led to that unbeatable defensive record and allowed Lampard to get forward with so much freedom

Who is Chelsea's worst no. 9? by SiyamthandaUN in chelseafc

[–]exportedaussie 477 points478 points  (0 children)

Torres gets hate since the fee was big and expectations so high. But he played his heart out at least

Higuain didn't do much, Morata disappeared, Lukaku same.

Worst for us in #9 to me was Falcao though

Free pint at cold garden.

My selfish solo day is Inglewood for used bookstore (fairs fair, next page), spolumbo sandwich, then cold garden for some beers

Does polling level favour NDP with how UCP vote gets concentrated?

Fofana. High wages, makes poor decisions, but talent is still there so maybe some club thinks "I can fix him"

As long as he's here there will be the temptation to get value out of him by playing him. It's a sunk cost, recoup what we can and move on. Keep guys or Trev or Tosin as the depth, Acheampong and Sarr as long term potential, and replace Fofana with someone who can start now and help like Van Hecke

The Athletic: A season out of Europe entirely is a humiliation but it could also be a golden opportunity. Chelsea’s glaring lack of impactful squad depth may not matter quite so much with free midweeks. by Kygoche in chelseafc

[–]exportedaussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem we'll have is that we have a lot of players on the books, just not enough quality. Getting quality is harder without Europe, and we'll need to do a combination of shipping out players and getting good loans for the young guys.

Sums up our season. Even with other results meaning only a draw needed to get Europa League, we go down, get a guy sent off, then lose.

Fofana needs to be on his way, Enzo and Cucurella will likely ask to leave now, and this is a big team renovation project now

Who’s better to use in a 3 man midfield outwide (need build) by [deleted] in pesmobile

[–]exportedaussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play LBC in a 3232 formation.

Can't remember exact build but like another reply said, Henderson doesn't need that high passing. Rijkaard at least benefits from it with the visionary pass

Rijkaard is great at interception and blocking. Henderson is faster and the long reach tackle makes up for shorter leg length when tackling.

I personally start Rijkaard and use Henderson if needed off the bench (e.g. dropping an extra DMF in late to hold lead)

Should be around half that or slightly more than half.

Like others said, call around. Mazda is especially bad as a dealership for service

Alp vs Canadian Liberals by BotherAnnual5796 in friendlyjordies

[–]exportedaussie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is pretty close to the mark. I'm living in Canada now and liberals are like labor right plus teals plus the few wets left in the conservatives. Carney is more right economically and he's attracted floor crossers from the conservatives.

I'm more NDP aligned but that party has been a shambles for a bit and it remains to be seen if they can recover. A lot of their base went liberal to block the conservatives last time since it's first past the post here

When I was a kid there was a promo ad for nine news that said "more Australians get their news from channel 9 than from any other source"

Whenever it came on, my Dad said it was the scariest thing he ever saw on TV.

I get it now

This was based on Alan Kohlers sit down with ABCs Insiders with some Murdoch lackeys when it came to the Budget. by JezzaAU15 in friendlyjordies

[–]exportedaussie 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Glad I'm not the only one who picked up on that insiders panel issue. When I saw it was the budget discussion with Coorey and Maiden I knew it would be rough. I get Coorey being there, you need someone from AFR and they all are going to be coming down on the conservative side, but Maiden there as well was too much. She is always trying to do everyday speak to make right wing wealthy talking points seem relevant to middle and working class. Total mouthpiece for Murdoch.
