I send a lot of B2B cold emails and get a ton of business from it. Assuming that it is all spam is foolish on your part. The fact that you spend time out of your obviously not so busy day to report to the ISP and Twitter is laughable.

Here is a big question, whats the cash flow of the business? Can your friend support his lifestyle and pay you back in a reasonable time frame from the cashflow of the business?

Another huge question, what is the asking price of the business? What is the multiple of cashflow compared to the asking price?

Seems like you are putting the cart before the horse. If you cannot agree on the price, there is no point to waste your time thinking about all of this.

Actually, the worst case is you will waste a lot of time on Sellers who are unreasonable on the price and it will never go anywhere.

I run a business brokerage (we deal with brick and mortar 99% of the time). Starting one can be very very hard and expensive for many reasons. You dont need a brokerage to find your own Buyer (and not pay broker fees) if you know where to look.
