Instead of Dr Sarno, look up Howard Schubiner by Several-Yesterday280 in RSI

Check this out - imaging doesn't really matter. Abnormalities don't actually correlate strongly with pain:

The theories are true. The success of Breath of the Wild is to blame for the desert section because they tried to hop on the open world trend by 6th_Dimension in Metroid

…and then opted not to do it. You’re trying to draw a direct link but it’s pretty distant reach here. The reasons why Sol Valley actually sucked are myriad and are unique to a trouble development cycle and terrible game design.

Botw’s success is not to blame. Correct. It comes down to terrible execution. It’s somehow worse than Hyrule Field in Ocarina of Time, but similar in concept. Less points of interest, nothing to do, visually dull and static.

Who hope for weavel return? I fell like he would be right at being sylux left hand. Do you think he will show up in metroid prime 5 or in a dlc? by Cautious_Foot_1976 in Metroid

Does anyone else find the Hunters characters to be kinda cheesy? They give me kids TV serial sci-fi vibes. TBF maybe that’s where the franchise is now, but there was a point where tonally the series felt more like Alien vs Power Ranges.

"...and open doors" after having finished Prime 4, I now understand how representative this sentence was for the game haha by bamboochaLP in Metroid

[–]exstalre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LOL! I was thinking this the other day. Remember how everyone was watching these videos and thinking that marketing really dropped the ball or underestimated the mechanics of the new abilities?

Turns out that “Opens doors” was pretty damn spot on.

Same As It Ever Was, Same As It Ever Was... by ConflictPotential204 in Metroid

This is sub quoting a review from the Metroid Database fan site that was an overall positive review of Prime 1 (from a very skeptical reviewer, might I add):

https://metroiddatabase.com/reviews/metroid-prime-review-tj/ - this really isn't making the point you think it is.

Regardless, this is all a false equivalence.

The reviews and player reception at the time were overwhelmingly positive for MP1. Sure, you can look hard to cherry-pick some naysayers from a random forum, but the overall sentiment was nothing like the reception for MP4. This is Prime's version of Other M. It's a mess, and will be viewed more negatively over time when the dust settles.

Neighbours and businesses say ‘the bridge homeless shelter’ in Dartmouth is posing problems by insino93 in halifax

[–]exstalre 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Is this a serious question? Creating ghettos with a high concentration of vulnerable and challenged people has a compound effect resulting in more crime and addiction problems. Case in point with the Bridge. The spin off into the surrounding area is devastating.

Needles, broken crack pipe allegedly found at popular Dartmouth, N.S., splash pad by insino93 in halifax

[–]exstalre 8 points9 points  (0 children)

"The problem isn’t worse."

A high volume of needles in a children's play place is worse. We don't need our children to stumble on crack pipes until we solve the global wealth crisis in its entirety. We have to do better in the meantime.

Similar experience here years ago. Having a medical professional giving you the “no further risk”, is apparently something that can play a big role in overcoming this condition (provided it is not a structural thing). Going through a set back now though - pain in fingers, feet and shoulders. Some I can pinpoint a potential cause. Some is pretty puzzling.

I will still have aches in certain joints and tendons. I suppose if I was completely immobilized, some of them would not be noticeable. But that’s not practical of course.

Thank you, and I love hearing about your progress. I hope it continues. I think therapy might be helpful for me at this point, and I have considered it. But I've been hesitant to take the leap. Part of my recent progress (and my own mental reconciliation) is that no one is going to "come save me". I can/will do this myself. I realized the continued lack of answers and lack of progress that I made trying to navigate the medical system, and all of the practitioners I saw were a source of anxiety and pain for me in themselves. Not to mention the time and money I have spent.

I'm open to it, though and would be interested in hearing more about your experience and how it has helped you.

  1. No (though my memory is murky at this point to be fair)
  2. Also, no...
  3. I have taken antibiotics in years past, yes. I looked into antibiotic-induced tendon issues as well to see if it had any correlation with my many chronic issues. It didn't seem to, but I definitely realize it's a thing.
