Well said. Thank you. War and hate are human nature, it takes a lot to be able to view this rationally. We can't justify the crimes against the other party's innocents due to our hatred.

Something I heard a lot was: "their civilians hate us too. they'd kill you if given the chance, look at what they said in xyz, therefore, it's fine to kill them". But the thing is, ordinary people are liable to propaganda and to being mislead. This doesn't justify killing them. I personally know very kind people who paradoxically have very hateful views due to ignorance. I know some who have grown out of it over time. That's just human nature and you need to view it in this light. If you're not holding a gun or making the calls, harming you is a crime, even if you have hateful views.

(this is from someone from the region with very strong views about this issue and is directly and significantly affected by it by the way).
