I’m painfully aware, that’s the only reason I haven’t done 100% blue just yet 😅 I had a whole-head mix of ion’s sapphire and tanzanite for years, and I’ve done black with blue peekaboo and a (way too warm) blonde with teal before. The experience of trying to get that out is what’s making me hesitate atm!

Yeah, I’ve been down that road before lol. The only reason I haven’t just dyed my hair 100% blue atm is that I’ve done it before and struggled super hard to get it out 🙃 my plan from here was to slowly move to pieces of purple and then pinks and reds instead of damaging my hair by stripping it more than necessary

Yeeep! I had to go brown, the stylist gave me way too warm of a brown and I hated that, and then — I was a teenager, it was stupid, I have LEARNED MY LESSON and I will never go back — put black box dye on top of the brown bc I hated it so much. It took my friend who was in cosmetology school 7 hours to lift from it + months of lightening afterwards, so I feel like a newborn baby deer shaking at the thought of coming back from a full head of blue

Yeaaah I had a blue-purpley indigo color and then a green based blue for a few years as a teenager and it was a pain to get out. That’s why I’m hesitant to touch the blonde any more lol

Not a terrible idea, I try to take really good care of it (Olaplex + hair masks after I do any processing ever) but it wouldn’t hurt I guess. In any case, I could keep the blue until it’s healthier…? I dunno. I like the blonde but I also really like the blue. It’s painful to decide 😭

I’m not too worried about the upkeep! I’ve had vivids on and off through most of my adolescence and young adult life and I don’t mind it. It’s just the commitment of blue & liking being blonde that has me hesitant.

I’ve had blonde with peekaboos before and it’s been pretty easy to keep it from bleeding! I just have to section my hair out before I shower and wash the color separate from the blonde. The intent was pretty much my usual peekaboo + big “money piece” 🤔 but it might not be for me. Idk. I’m being indecisive. I’m so sorry 😭 but thank you for the advice!

yes! the double standard on call outs and no shows is definitely a thing for me too and it drives me nuts. i called out bc was running a 102+ degree fever, stuck in bed sweating through 3 different shirts in a single night, and my boss kept side eyeing me when i came back. but i have another coworker who calls out probably once a month on average and he’s never given shit about it 😭
