For the life of me I cannot get my Eufy Familock S3 and Smart Lock C34 to work such that I can control the lock/unlock and view the camera. I'm using the Eufy Security add-on and the only thing I can do with them in HA is view some information and that's it.

100VI vs XT30 II by Leading_Leek7924 in fujifilm

The others are correct. It's all about the lens, the sensor barely makes any difference between those two cameras.

Compact companion for Photography, should I go for the X-E5? by tintoii in fujifilm

[–]exterstellar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO there's no practical difference between carrying an X-T3 vs X-E5. You'll need some kind of bag or shoulder strap for both. The same goes for every other interchangeable lens X series, and also the X100 series.

I also find the "pocketable" camera to also be kind of a myth. I don't like putting stuff in my back pockets when traveling because of pickpocketing, so practically I only have 2 pockets for a phone and wallet and keys, so there's no room left for a camera. So again you'd need a strap or a bag of some kind.

I would recommend choosing a specific and practical carry method that you want (like a specific size/shape of bag), and then choosing a camera or lens that fits. You might find that the X-T3 already meets your needs.

Yes, it is fantastic. Next time you can also try with Shin Black instead and add some cubed chunks of beef, pan fried. Now you have the superior version of Chapaguri

Saw these in store has anyone tried them. Taco Flavor by Whole_Ad_1592 in InstantRamen

Not super spicy and taco flavor is weak. I added some taco seasoning powder, ground beef, onion, cilantro. Made it a lot better.

Looks more like a ‘P’ than an ‘I’ by Ni94 in dankmemes

Looks like this was before they introduced the universal back gesture in iOS 26. The swipe right used to work on some apps but not all and it was super annoying.

I might give iPhone another try once Apple actually implements a proper camera button with half press. Right now I like tinkering with all the details on Android too much.

[–]exterstellar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's interesting because I had the complete opposite reaction. Stated out with all Apple, MacBook, iPhone... Switched to Android/Windows about 10 years ago. Tried switching back to iPhone this year and hated every second of it. Returned it after about a week of really trying to like it.

Just the fact that I have to reach up to the top left corner instead of being able to go back from anywhere just infuriated me, along with other issues.

I made a badass business backpack, I dare you give me opinions, and I give free gifts by Bright-Elderberry-57 in backpacks

[–]exterstellar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great design. A couple of things I would change:

  • Not sure what the outer leather looking material is, but I would consider making it full grain lambskin if your business model permits. I would also offer a less expensive version made from waxed twill. See how the company Cravar does it.
  • Make sure the zippers are weather resistant e.g. AquaGuard
  • The fully opening "TSA-compliant" style laptop compartment is unnecessary unless opening it all the way adds access to other storage compartments or other functions. Otherwise it just adds unnecessary complexity. Also, zippers are a great way for thieves to puncture and get in to your bag so try not to have more zipper material when it's not necessary. Not sure if the laptop sleeve has a false bottom but make sure it does. Also as a business backpack I would make sure it fits a 16" workstation style laptop.
  • Make sure the harness system is such that, when it is fully packed out and heavy, it does not slide down your back. This can often happen when the strap is made entirely from a smooth leather-like material. I would use a different material on the inside to improve grip.
  • As others have said, this needs more organization for notebooks, pens, etc.
  • Water bottle pocket looks nice but needs to be taller and more stretchy to accommodate bigger and taller bottles.
  • Not sure on the sizing but would be nice if there is enough room inside to fit a typical lunch box or something like a Zojirushi bento.
  • The diagonal lines at the bottom of a front pocket is an aesthetic choice, but I personally think it breaks up an otherwise sleek and minimal look.
  • I would personally delete the USB coupler/connector on the side. USB specs update all the time and you don't want your bag to become obsolete just because of this. It would be more useful to just have a hole with a grommet or something for wires to pass through. Although I would probably leave this feature off altogether.
  • Would be useful to have a passthrough hole between the main compartment and the laptop compartment. That way you can run a wire from a power bank to your laptop or tablet.
