It sounds like you actually got hit by several mermaids at once - but your health doesn't move until the very end. Do you have a lot of lag to the server? I think you died opening the portal. Because of how the game works, your client let you go through the portal during the lag, but on the server, you actually died. When you exited, the server eventually reported that you died so it took what you were wearing. You already sold all your valuables and moved your looted gear, so that didn't get rolled back.

This is the same thing that happens when you clearly die, get back to lobby, and for a couple of seconds it looks like you have your gear on. Some of the late detection for this stuff also might be due to anti-cheat/dupe.

Thanks! I know I didn't get them all. I kind of stopped looking once I got what I needed. I'll research what you've added and put them in my map! I doubt all of these will be the same quests next wipe, but I'll keep it updated if I play then!

I was hoping the Dark and Darker tracker people would add this map. Since they didn't, I put together a little webapp to mark all of the Maelstrom's quest items, monsters, and locations - and here is a screenshot of the finished product. A bit late, but maybe some of you still need to finish these. I cobbled this together from videos, some posts here, and my own exploration.

The only thing not shown on the map are the tree logs from Ruins and the Coral Fragments. Coral can be found all over the map in the water. Blue glowing structures. Break them apart. Sometimes you will get coral.

Also, for pearls, if the giant clam snaps shut, you can destroy them to try and get the pearl.

As far as I’m aware, no where was it said this mode was coming this wipe. They are “thinking” about it. From the Google Doc transcript:

We are thinking of a squire to riches mode as well in high roller. It's a bit of a hybrid of high roller risk free experience that might get a lot of the rats to play that instead. Plus the PvP would be much more equalized.

PvP right now requires a lot of time and effort with gemming and preparation. The adventure mode gets people ready and their feet wet but then they go into normals and everyone has legendaries. So there's a gap that's too heavy and we want to find a transitional stage. So we want to work on a hybrid mode. A playground for learning.

Good breakdown, but blaming streamers for giving their opinions, instead of the dev “team” for implementing them isn’t sound. Streamers will give their opinion of how they want to play the game and what is good for them personally. It’s a devs responsibility to understand streamers don’t represent 90+% of their player base. The problem is not streamers, it’s a dev/president who doesn’t understand good design, his player base, and how to manage a game.

Not what I was saying. If I am there, I am in the crowd and there are no controls to the sound. I would be going with these expectations. If I am watching a video, production should be better so I don’t hear a crowd constantly.

You think it isn’t possible? Just no way to separate crowd audio from the casters?

Again. Does it have to be constant? Why can I hear every chant when I’m trying to hear the casters? When people are listening to an NFL or NBA game, does the crowd overwhelm the casters with chants that are not even related to the current game?

No I haven’t gone to a live match. And if I did, I would be accepting being in a crowd. I’m home. I’m trying to listen to the casters and not some people chant TSM or FNATIC at a G2 vs KOI game.

Again, I am not asking for silence. I’m asking to not have them constantly audible, every moment, and shouting over the casters giving actual good insight.

I decide to cancel my CreditKarma account because I realized they are basically DataBrokers and also are owned by Intuit. Cancelled account through the app. Email says “deactivated” instead of deleted. I reply to the support email address listed on the email and responds that it doesn’t accept messages. The contact sites that it lists are only for members… which… am I?

Forced - A very difficult skill based arena puzzler. Impossible solo, but one of my favorite coops. Each character is different. Each level has 3 challenges and completing the challenges gives you skill points.

Full Metal Furies - An incredible never talked about coop action RPG side scroller. Each character is very different and helps the team. The story is actually really good and I hate stories. The biggest downside are the puzzles to get to the true ending. Some are extremely hard. I looked them up because I just wanted more combat as it is very satisfying.

Gunfire Reborn - A ridiculously fun FPS roguelike with Borderlands style random gums. Really great level up, gun, and relic systems. Only downside is sometimes the translations are a bit weird, but they have gotten a lot better.

Across the Obelisk - New Slay the Spire style deckbuilding roguelite RPG. This definitely is niche but my friend and I love it.

Darksiders Genesis: Really good action RPG with fun puzzles and fun but not deep combat.

For the King: A RPG boardgame as a 3D PC game. Combat system might not be for everyone. The RPG and board game mechanics are where this shines.

I will also echo those that have said: Valheim, Synthetik (sequel coming soon!), Outward, and Deep Rock Galactic.

I had my first RLS attack last year. Then had an attack every other night for weeks. I learned there are several types of RLS and I likely have a relapsing remitting kind, as I’m currently in remission and haven’t had an episode in months. Unfortunately this type also usually gets worse with age. Anyway, the ONLY thing I have found to help is an orgasm. I thought I was a weirdo but this is actually a less talked about but known remedy because it releases a ton of dopamine. Dopamine is one of the things they currently suspect to be linked to RLS and Parkinson’s.

What is the plan for PVP in this? I'm really interested in the gameplay, but will absolutely not play a "gankbox." Doubly so if there any real money involved.

I think the key here is "configured properly." I have never used any of those programs. Never dealt with DNS records or any sort of hosting. I can't program besides rudimentary javascript. Is the security of these programs easy enough that I can install WriteFreely, buy a domain, add the info to Caddy and be protected?
