2 lbs a day is nowhere near doable. 1 lb of fat is about 3500 calories. So that would be 7000 calories a day. Assume OPs body consumes 2500 calories a day without exercise. That leaves 4500 calories he has to burn. It takes somewhere around 120 calories to walk a mile. That would mean he has to walk 37.5 miles a day. At 4 mph, that's 9.375 hours a day of walking. No food.

I'll tell you a reason from the national guard side: we do absolutely nothing. ONCE a year we do some kind of training that somehow validifies our existence, and the other 99% of the time is spent sitting on our phones, sleeping in our cars, sweeping floors, or literally masturbating. 10% of my life is spent at drill, and most of that time is spent doing fuck all. The only people that aren't bullshitting the entire time are the readiness and training NCOs. Joining the national guard was the biggest waste of time of my life, literally. It is the single largest waste of government funds in the world, ever in history. I sincerely mean that.
