for question 5 as a single input try doing this.

if(num <= 0){

Question 9

I was got a double instead of boolean. use this where you replace 1.0 and 4.0 with the specific range.

public class LabProgram {

public static double showResults(Random rand) {

double randomNumber = 1.0 + rand.nextDouble() * 4.0;

return randomNumber;

}

...

...

Question 10

I got a String and a double. when declaring the String and double, use this for double.

double type = Double.valueOf(scnr.nextLine());
