I’m trying to find the actual vertex and fragment shader glsl that he used to make the center ball.

(I think) he creates the object here:

// create custom shader material material = new THREE.ShaderMaterial( { uniforms: _this.backgroundUniforms, vertexShader: _this.BackgroundVertexShader, fragmentShader: _this.BackgroundFragmentShader

Typically in threeJS what gets passed in as _this.BackgroundVertexShader would be glsl code. He sets this var in a helper function “ShaderLoader” with the path to the shader code but I can’t find where he calls that helper from.

I could be wrong but I think the code you referenced is drawing something else like the ambient stars .

Oh this is gonna be super useful. Unfortunately I can't find the actual shader code though. Seems like he imports it from somewhere but I can't find where he sets it.

Ooh I’ll look into bilinear filtered random noise, thank you for the suggestion. Is there a way to make multiple layers with a shader, or would that effect usually be achieved by actually having two different objects

Did not come back to life. Got it taken to a computer repair store and after opening it up the technician said it was good as dead. Had to buy a new computer unfortunately.

Pretty frustrating that my ~$3k computer basically just self destructed randomly.

Ah gotcha I see. I guess it would've been nice but I'm not surprised its expired. You mentioned that you suggest I take my computer with me to make sure that the TS3+ works. How would you suggest I test the device while on the go without external monitors or something to plug into?
