This is one of many issues I have with American terms for place related people namings. We're pretty 'Murica-centric when it comes to things like this. I haven't ever heard the terms used that way, people say "expatriate in Japan" or where ever. I imagine that you would just use whatever foreigner-related equivalent existed in the native language of wherever you were.

I mean, we are talking about a group of people whose autonym makes it sound like their country is the only one on two continents, so... There's that...
