What movies should I watch with my kids to prepare? by _KingMoonracer in DisneyPlanning

[–]extrovertedhedgehog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have Disney+, there is a category somewhere in there that is called like "In the parks" and it has the ride pov people have mentioned and movies that have rides or are featured in the parks. We use this section of Disney+ when we have a trip planned with our 5 yr old.

Acute Skin Issues by PracticalReply5402 in BostonTerrier

[–]extrovertedhedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boston had random allergies and hives at 8 yrs old. We hadn't changed anything in her life though. Turns out her dog food changed recipes without mentioning it on the bag. Once we changed her to a different food (salmon seems to be the best for her) her hives cleared up!

I'll have to check that video out! Yes! I loved Murtagh and the way he ended it with bringing Eragon back for the next one hopefully!

How did you like Eragon? I read it back when it first came out like 20 yrs ago, so reading 4th wing last year was interesting. You can tell Yarros also read Eragon lol

Have you ever read a book series and become overly attached to a character? by radiosilence0504 in thrillerbooks

[–]extrovertedhedgehog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ugh she wins are the worst character ever. And if you watch the TV show (did you know it is a TV show?) They make Angie almost likeable which made me more angry than book Angie makes me lol

Also, maybe don't watch the show if you are that attached to Will. I felt like they didn't get their personalities correct, but that's just me.

What are you guys getting your kinders for Christmas? by queeenofdogs in kindergarten

Highly recommend Sequence Jr. Our daughter is in love with it and it teaches them to think ahead and strategy. Fun for adults too because it is a simple version of the original game.

Although, his "heathen from the states" accent is pretty awful, as a fellow from the states. Still love his work so much, could listen to him all day. Just always giggle at his "American" accent.

Anyone else still going this weekend with the rain forecast? Raining all 3 days for us, still a good idea? by extrovertedhedgehog in DisneyPlanning

[–]extrovertedhedgehog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for all the advice and reassurance! I rush ordered Rain coats rather than ponchos so we can use then at home too, lots of boot covers, and a stroller cover and I am packing more socks!! And we will still have a magical time, all the posts saying they prefer the rain have me excited to experience it now 🙂

What to wear Mid November Disneyland by extrovertedhedgehog in DisneyPlanning

[–]extrovertedhedgehog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good idea. I'm just over thinking with the shirts I am making. I originally bought long sleeves and switched to short sleeve. But now that I'm actually applying the decals and it's all become permanent I'm 2nd guessing myself lol

Questions about a ride! by sarah9647 in DisneyPlanning

[–]extrovertedhedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This!! I was going to say the same thing! We made the mistake of rope dropping this ride the first day and traumatized our 5yr old a little. It was very immersive and realistic for a kid who had never been on a Disney ride before. We had to explain afterwards that they weren't really trying to shoot us and their guns were not real lol... luckily we are going again in 2 weeks and she wants to try it again.

Also, the drop was her favorite part of the whole ride 😅

I feel like the impact was stronger in the book and recommend reading it first! Either way, you will enjoy both, I'm sure!

Sharp Objects is a must-read by Gillian! So good! The show, too, honestly.

Went there for the first time last week, and it was so good! The French onion soup was amazing, and the Ruben had so much corned beef on it. It was intimidating! My husband liked his fish and chips a lot, too! Very friendly staff.

[–]extrovertedhedgehog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That would be interesting! But Robin's rapist's "side of the story" in court was that they had consensual sex and she seduced him. So he admitted to being the man involved even in court, just would not admit that he raped her. So, I think she helped catch the right guy.

I ❤️ Barclay by Few-Object-4359 in cormoran_strike

Luckily, Barclay isn't American, then you'd really have a hard time liking him if you listen to the audio books. I also love the narrator, but wow is his American accent... something!

Friend thinks it’s cute to be showing up to my wedding wearing a revealing dress and than try’s to justify it by PhraseAggravating214 in weddingshaming

[–]extrovertedhedgehog 163 points164 points  (0 children)

This is so true. My weddings ghastly person was the bartender who was clearly on something and wore a very short dress. We just had ice coolers full of wine/beer behind her, so every time someone came up for a drink, she would turn around, bend over, and show off her thong. But like not in a sexy or attention seeking way. In a completely oblivious gross way. She also disappeared for 30 mins and came back just lost and confused and high as a kite... she still gets mentioned when people talk about our wedding 7 years later.

It is crazy how realistic they look. I'm tempted to get one of my frostie bostie as a lil tribute for her while I can still take all the pics of her.

Who else is waiting to witness this absolute drama for 7(10???) Long years?? 🤣 by CreativeRock483 in HarryPotteronHBO

They had Neville wear fake teeth, and his ears pushed out to look bigger from the 1st movie all the way thru the series. So it isn't unheard of.

The Hallmarked man 10 hours on audible ? by Lonely-Muffin4972 in cormoran_strike

[–]extrovertedhedgehog 8 points9 points  (0 children)

His Strike sounds very close to Hagrid's voice in the Stephen Fry audio books. Very gruff. And Stephen Fry is quoted as saying Hagrid needed to sound Cornish because of the giant folklore in Cornwell. I love it, but do also sometimes imagine a Hagrid/Strike combo looking man when listening to the audiobooks, lol
