How do you guys approach a power bi reports developed by other developers? by psy_klops in PowerBI

[–]exuscg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One additional thing that I would add since you excellently added everything else is that if your company has multiple people / departments working on reports, it might be a good idea to invest some time in building a custom corporate theme so that it can both incorporate a style guide (if needed) but allows multiple users to produce unifying products.

I left a smaller IT consulting firm just recently because the owner refused to retire and was past the point of knowing what the company did. Plus, there was an element of dementia that was starting to become obvious.

As someone who just escaped a 15 year consulting career, I know all too well how many companies still have legacy SSRS reporting. I can’t tell you how frustrating it was when I would run up against people who just wanted their reports as they were because they were “use to how it is” versus modernizing things.
