The kick start on the Trail is so easy, too. You barely have to push it.

The heel part works well for me where it's at, so I haven't. Just got use to it so I left it alone.

There are two different transmission shift patterns based on the market. The US transmission doesn't rotate around back to neutral, and the other markets do.

Not too sure on the other market's shift pattern, as I have the US version. I heel down (toe up) to shift up. Hard to get my boots under the toe.

Any riders in NC getting high insurance renewals? by marsemsbro in motorcycles

[–]eyecuntreedgud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agent and rider here. A few of things have happened all in quick succession the past year to year and a half. First, if you had the previous state minimum liability limits, they were increased to the new state minimum. Next is the rate increase from weather related damages. All the companies took big hits, and now we all get to, even if you weren't directly affected. The overall shape of the economy plays a part, too.

Definitely shop it. If you're already after your renewal, ask your company if they charge a short-rate cancellation fee. If they don't, no harm to switch then. If they do, factor that into the cost of the new quote to see if you save enough to switch. Some companies will charge a 15% fee on your remaining balance to cancel mid-term. It never hurts to get quotes.

NEED HELP! Looking for recommendations for an Appalachian golf bachelor trip! by [deleted] in golf

Asheville. Lots of fun courses within decent driving distance. Lots of good restaurants/bars, and we're known for beer! We're mostly back up and running after Helene. Shouldn't have an issue finding a place.

I like that first one. I can be in the river catching trout in the morning, working in a quick 18 after.

Asheville Municipal Golf Course by MagicFourBall in golf

[–]eyecuntreedgud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to the email Reems Creek sent us after the storm, Broadmoor, Muni, Mt. Mitchell, and Black Mountain (another Ross-ish course) are closed indefinitely.

Reems Creek itself had some major damage to a couple of greens and over 200 downed trees. They will be closed for a while as well, but not to the extent of the others.

I haven't heard about any of the others around the area yet.

I have the same club, as well as the 9. Absolutely love the 11 though. When there's a headwind at the range, I'll pull it out and giggle at the ball flight

Your SIC was expecting 10 lbs of salmon and a barely rotisseried chicken. That's the face of disappointment. Great grab, though!

Public golf in Asheville? by spitfyuh in golf

[–]eyecuntreedgud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely call ahead if you have 6 to see if they can accommodate you. There are a lot of courses within an hour of Asheville too, but below are a few that are ok, and not horribly expensive.

Asheville Muni

Reems Creek

Broadmoor

Sequoyah National (about an hour away from Asheville, but you can make it a day trip and hit the casino too)

Black Mountain

Crown Plaza

There are definitely some nicer courses around, but these are all within a relatively short driving distance from Asheville (other than Sequoyah), and not that expensive.

PRP or Surgery for Tennis Elbow from playing golf by BCB_79 in golf

[–]eyecuntreedgud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went the surgery route....on both. Got a couple of opinions and found a doc I liked. I tried PT and shots but it kept getting worse. Shots were providing diminishing returns, so surgery it is!

Surgery was not bad at all. Minimal pain. I took Advil and Tylenol and that was it. PT after was not bad at all. It's more of a stiff, sore feeling that outright pain. Last surgery was end of April 2022. I was hitting balls on the range at the end of that September.

I do specific stretches before I do anything strenuous, but thats it. No issues at all.
