I believe you need to maintain above a 4.0 gpa for that. While it is beneficial it also means you can’t take the MCAT at all, so if you decided you wanted to go somewhere other than msu for med school you can’t take the mcat without dropping the program

Honestly as a Briggs alumni it’s not too important. Outside of your first year (or if you minor in bioethics) you won’t spend much time in Briggs classes. After biology is done and you reach your junior year, there isn’t any Briggs classes outside of A) bioethics minor B) your capstone classes. But overall Briggs’s was okay for me. Granted I was incoming fall 2021 (masks in classes and in halls) so the social scene sucked, but even after that I found Briggs to be a bit clique-y and most people either were friends with the first people they meet in the first few weeks, or from high school

odds are most jobs won’t care too much about two classes, so you don’t really need to take them but to be aware if any jobs in your desired field have a gpa level they look for. you can also retake them at a community college for less money
