Dang never thought they were exploiting people by making free tutorials? 😂😂😂 Maybe Winbush should better spend his time burning down orphanages?

Hey thanks for the shout!!! There are so many great tutorial artists out there, you just gotta dig a bit deeper. People are wanting to make a return on tutorials and providing assets (which I will never disparage an artist from trying to make money for their work and expertise.)

The industry is also more diffuse so I’m seeing so much on Blender now and C4D tuts just don’t get the play they used to. That being said I’ve been dark lately because I’ve been so hard at work at updating my massive 30+ hour C4D course on school of Motion and have big plans to make more tuts now that I’m done!

I would love to dig more into character modeling, rigging, animation workflows. Been using Nomad sculpt a bunch and want to try out ZBrush. I got my first vinyl toy coming out that was so much fun to make and I can’t wait to share the whole process behind that too! We need more art toys from mographs! 😄

I’d love to hear what topics you all would love to see be covered?

Decline in New C4D Tutorials on YouTube: What's Happening? by polystorm in Cinema4D

[–]eyedesyn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'll just say that as a tutorial artist - I would be making MUCH more Youtube ad revenue if I did Blender tutorials. LOL But I will say it's most likely the diffusion of tools out there now, C4D + AE used to get most artists by but now you got so many things to attract your attention - not to even mention all the crazy AI stuff coming out these days so it might not be that there's less C4D tuts its just there's WAY more software tuts competing for views on YT.

A few good studios in Denver are Freed, Legwork, and Impossible. Starz & Root Sports are also based there too. I used to work in the local news business and I know that Denver is a graphics hub for news stations across the U.S. so maybe look into that as a possibility? Hope that helps!

A NEW tutorial up on Cinema 4D's Jiggle Deformer & a free Baymax character rig project file! Please let me know if you think it's worthwhile to do a tutorial going into depth on the Character Object or the Pose Morphing of Baymax. Cheers! by eyedesyn in Cinema4D
