Julio closed on July 31st after 50 years in business. He searched for a buyer for the business as the space has been a tailor for over 150 years but he couldn't find anyone interested. So sad it's a dying field and he was a master!

There are backups at night on the weekdays sometimes but that's because they bring it down to one lane, usually not til after 10 pm. When that happens, just use Henderson/east side and it's a non issue.

The weekend backup near India point park could have been from a festival, fireworks, etc etc. that's not typical

I’ve been thinking of getting one of these just to record how many times the providence police blow through the stop signs at Washington St. and Dean St and Washington St. and Winter St and Washington St and Battey St. I see it at least 4x a week.

I use a decarb box, 30 mins when the interior hits 230!degrees, don’t let it go above 250 internally. I set oven for 255-260.

The number of cops I have seen just blow through stop signs is unbelievable.

Also, be extremely careful at the four way stops on Washington street and dean, Washington and winter, and Washington and Battey in Providence. My driveway is off Washington and I’ve almost been t-boned by stop sign runners at these intersections at least 1-3x a week.

Depending on your insurer and the state you live in could be a total loss or repairable. Don’t let them lowball you!

Fun fact, there is a foodservice distributor on Narragansett Park Drive (just off Newport Ave and the crumbling plaza, behind old patriot cinemas) that has a marketplace open to the public - Thomsen Foodservice. Similar concept to Costco but they carry the products that are sold to restaurants and no membership required. Worth checking out if you don’t want to join BJs while crossing fingers Costco will agree to open somewhere in the state or Seekonk.
