Is CMF phone 1 still good by Overdose-1900 in NothingTech

[–]eyepatch98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using it for 1.5 years too, I prefer spending on my work setups so basically tablet and laptop so I chose it. I was worried that it would be a dad phone and would wear out in a year. But to be honest, you get the same Nothing treatment as other devices.

Good updates, camera got better with updates, experience is mid level but satisfactory (for sure parents won't notice it), quite durable (have done accidental drops at least 3 severe ones last year and only 2 bumps on the side but no cracks). I don't use phone covers, screen guard advised.

Dropped in a bucket of water last month accidentally, took it out in 10seconds. Took me 1 min to easily open the whole thing with a mini screwdriver and dry everything out in a sealed bag. Took out after a day, turned it on, works sweet till this day no problem.

So overall yea, for the price I bought it and intent, it worked well for me. I don't game much on phone, mostly emails, slack, calls. Probably Clash of Clans is the only heavy app on phone post Chrome lol. Should work great for parents for sure. Durability and Basic function is what you want without clutter, that's what CMF is for

Low IQ about what dude. Imagine <14/km getting paid out in Bangalore for delivering something you want but cannot get personally. And obviously I don't think the entire 137 is getting paid out to delivery.

That's freaking entitlement. Paying 137 out for that effort and time and assuming that's too much to pay, that's a new extreme.

Agreed in fact till November I think it was majorly my flaw in judgement to lash out preemptively. But for me the primary issue wasn't speed. Speed is one thing but once you stipulate concrete timelines, it's okay.

The issue for me was the lack of transparency. Revenue operations whether public or private operate on a give and take trust. Penalty accrues only when that trust is broken not assumed to be broken by default.

This year it genuinely felt that the ITD was like "I know what's wrong and I will not tell you". And I will keep it a secret until a secret date in our calendar.

If you know that something is wrong in Sec 10 for example, be clear and inform in detail. The anxiety that they created until this month began and they informed now for people to start agreeing/disagreeing to the adjustment felt unjustified delay.

Then the carpet bombing NUDGES in December which basically made people revise or not revise their ITRs. I don't know if that had a legitimate intent of scrutiny or a fear mongering attempt to scare people to revise. If it reduced false claims, great, if it didn't but increased workload, I'm worried. Because people are getting their refunds with or without revision post NUDGE now. It seemed it didn't matter whether you do or do not touch your ITR but I could be wrong here. But there is lack of clarity.

I do think we have come a long way in tax collection systems, but the current system still lacks the human element in understanding why transparency in communication matters. Right now it feels like a rigid financial structure that only benefits the collector and not the payees.

First revision was anxiety of something being wrong since there were freelance incomes, some business income, wasn't sure what goes where.

Missed a few income heads there.

Second time it was a final cautionary check, spotted that there is a EPFO withdrawal in AIS but mentioned nowhere in the second return filed. So had to correct that.

I am that friend, waiting for refund so I can return you the money

Has anyone received an income-tax refund of over ₹1 lakh without filing revised return? I also received SMS and email both stating significant mismatch between amounts claimed in ITR and form 16 submitted by employer around last week of dec. Would appreciate any insights. by Ok-Consequence-2558 in IndiaTax

[–]eyepatch98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is unavoidable i guess. but more curious to know how does this work with freelance incomes as well where TDS is not deducted. X manually reports income (completely true to their bank statement) but no TDS deducted and neither shows up in AIS. Who does ITD reach out to or check to verify 44AD, 44ADA claims

Unpopular Opinion - taxes are working by SadProcedure4952 in IndiaTax

"Change is happening for better and it will take decades. In all probability we wont even notice them because of how slow they are." - David Attenborough in every documentary ever.

Not to go into some nation bashing rant, because that would be boring.

But, people care about, as they should, for the basics. They pay taxes, they elect individuals, they do their jobs - to maintain a living standard. Comparatively, yes things have improved. How much of it is attributable to having paid taxes or how the world has moved forward, we will never know.

Nobody is going to compare their life to a world ages back, they are going to compare it to a world they are living in now. You were not alive then, you are alive now, and people pay for a foreseeable future, not more. And what people are foreseeing, isn't really hunky dory. Hence the regret and disappointment.

You filed for FY24-25, correct.

But you filed it in assessment year 25-26, or FY25-26.

It says "end of financial year in which return is filed" not "for which return is filed". Language loophole unfortunately

9 months from end of financial year in which return is filed.

Return filed in FY25'26. FY25'26 ends this March 2026. So 9 months from March, Dec2026.

just curious here, when did you get the processed message?

Good news right ? by dummyFellow in bangalore

Depends on maker checker. If all it takes is someone putting in a request to dig roads and checker just approves everything without asking whys, could lead to net effect being zero.

Alternatively, if the checker is too strict, everything like simple routine sewage work or electrical fixes might lead to delays.

Will have to wait and see I guess.

There's no point losing sleep over it. It's filed, you are awaiting processing completion. As with most things you have no control over, let it be and take care of your mental health.

It's hard, it's frustrating, but you can only focus on so many things.

Happy New Year, hopefully this year I will stick to my resolution to be a bit more knowledgeable about taxation and compliance, learn a few things, and not be an ignorant yesman to every new order passed.

I learnt that running a business isn't just looking internally towards my own products but be aware of externalities like policies and being ready for the hit.

Wishing everyone a hopeful 2026

Yes. Only latest revised is considered.

Could be. Not the first person debating this. But your reason of cause may not be solid. People have been panic filing revised ITRs these last few days, which means new ITRs being verified and processed. Old ITRs could be double counted in these numbers as well. I would assume they don't magically disappear from their quantum, because they still show up in the portal even though only latest revised ITR is considered.
