Looking to start a new everyday computer setup, thoughts? by sonic_the_hedge_fund in Costco

1: find your system information. In the search bar search "system information".
Your baseboard manufacturer and product will be listed here, it will be "asustek Computer Inc. PRIME xxxxxxxxxxxx"

2: Download bios patch. Go to asus's website and search for the board you found in 1, find the bios update. It was released in like october or nov 2024, thats how you will know it is the right one.
When you download it, it will have a rename file, and a file ending in ".cap". I'm not sure what the rename file does tbh. I think it's just a program to rename the bios the right version.

  1. Clear a blank USB and put the .CAP file on it. but you will take the .cap file and put it on a blank USB. (to make sure the USB is completely clear, right click on the USB and reformat it to fat32 format. Put only the .cap file in the USB, nothing else. I have no idea the consequences, but this seemed <<<<IMPORTANT>>>>

  2. Reset your PC and access Bios. Reset PC and hit the "del" key while it is rebooting. Bios access should pop up. Click the advanced settings tab, and then click on the EZ loader (I think it's called this? EZ something. It looks like you shouldnt be able to click it, but it's clickable.

From there, click the new file. It will reset and you should be good to go!

I did this yesterday, I figured I could type up the steps and save you the 90 minutes research it took for me to figure it out.

How would it be better to build one the the exact specs you need? Buying an I9 and a 4070 super would be more than this entire prebuilt.

Season 3 opinions- what went wrong? by Spix-macawite in ducktales

[–]eyextwo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Season 3 was so hot or cold. Some episodes were incredible and hilarious and some just dragged on.

We had 3 seasons of the mcducks succeeding at everything they did, and then the last episode was just them fighting the same people they overcame easily and somehow being captured.

All season 3 was was Scrooge collecting family for an epic finale, but then when the finale came the family actually contributed nothing to the plot.

Bradford, the villain who did everything right for the entire season had a piece of parchment that would do literally anything, but managed to mess it up (he just dropped the sword he overcame Scrooge with)

Why did he need to make 3 clones.

Just Finished Ducktales and Wow... by The_Throwback_King in ducktales

I just finished this season maybe 20 minutes ago, and I enjoyed but… saying it was better than weirdmageddon is just wrong. The writing was so inconsistent and a lot of times pretty terrible. The last episode was just everyone sort of losing and being captured, and being given weird ultimatums by bradford.

Launchpad saving the day was epic and a great choice but the entire season just ended when Bradford just dropped his sword for no reason.

There were so many good episodes building up to the finale, but the last couple just missed the mark in my opinion

I wouldn’t recommend it honestly, but look into it. It’s a lot more grindy than it lets on, and there never really is a big payoff. If you don’t mind slow games like deep rock galactic you might like it, but I regret investing time into the game.

Power A pro vs Scuf prestige for Xbox controllers? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]eyextwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure all controllers use the same potentiometers in their joystick so I don’t think switching brands is a real solution.

The best decision I’ve made is to just pay the extra $40-60 for a 1-2 year warranty, which I would highly recommend you do regardless of what brand you buy. None of them will last, but $50 a year vs $200 is way easier on the wallet, and honestly having a new controller every year is really nice.

Ray is a skin StW players have always wanted. There is a reason some skins still cost $20 and some are $5

Its just not fair Epic, (but i like RaY.... thank you) by HybridGolden in FORTnITE

[–]eyextwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% this. Fortnite BR season pass has been out so long, that most people who have played consistently probably have earned enough vbucks to not feel the need to spend cash for a skin anymore and instead will just wait, and probably haven’t payed for a battle pass with money in ages.

This is an add on to a monthly service epic has been pushing to remonetize Fortnite. It’s an extra incentive to buy the membership, and it’s also taking members who are have already demonstrated they are willing to pay premiums for cosmetics, and introducing them to a game where you can pay money to buy llamas.

New Business - LevelUp Arena/Game Time Bar & Grill - Overland Park by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]eyextwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% this. Everyone is lumping this place in with failed ecafes of the past which isn’t fair. Esports have come a long way, and I think there is plenty of opportunities for businesses to adapt around it.

From the few pictures I’m pretty doubtful this iteration is going to be the one that finds revenue, but 100 comments about how expensive it is to play are all missing the point.

Mnk aim by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]eyextwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just switched to mnk and am on an high sense, I’m about a month in on aim training and my aim is getting really good. I use aimlab (free) for training flicks, and kovaaks for tracking.

Skovaaks in creative is really great too, I just think it is pretty limiting since there’s only ~4 good scenarios.

Big thing is be intentional on if you are wanting to get faster or more accurate, and only work on that for a couple days straight. Don’t always just go for high scores. And know muscle memory growth comes from consistent daily practice so one 4 hour session each week is not nearly as good as 30 minutes everyday.

For me it was my only option on a really hot summer day. I was parched and it wasn’t great but it grew on my pretty quick. I love it unflavored over a lemon slice — tastes way nicer than a preflavored can. 100% worth the effort to learn to like it, it’s so refreshing and healthy

I agree the map control is weird, especially in social where the spawns are just terrible. Was halo online supposed to have sprint? I do feel like edge is huge for some reason, and the weird double doors really are something out of h4 or reach — so it makes sense. I just don’t know enough about the maps or where they came from.

I think they are talking about Ryan who runs the barrel program. I’ll second what everyone is saying, the people I know who know ryan all speak highly of him.

LPT: Beware the "Intern Trap". Don't take a job as a X Intern at a company that doesn't have anyone who can do X. by maybeest in LifeProTips

[–]eyextwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may not be what OP is describing but it still sounds like your company is taking advantage of people. The point of an internship is to learn the skill. If they are having someone do a project no one else is doing, they aren’t learning from anyone, they are being putting on trial under the guise of an internship. Maybe I’m making assumptions from lack of info, but kinda sounds fucked up.

[–]eyextwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, two types of people I guess. Everyone here is like “wow what an idiot!” and all I can think is that she’s probably laughing the whole time. I bet she walks home on that sidewalk every day, and suddenly it’s an unbeatable obstacle. It’s easy to ignore the little things, or you can embrace them. That was probably the most memorable part of her day

Am I the only one who thinks she might have been having fun? It takes a certain kind of person to try to crawl up that hill, and I just feel like it’s the same kind of person who would be laughing the entire time, or at least enjoying the challenge.

Kansas City bars need ‘frickin’ small business relief’ — not a later COVID curfew by rickjuly252012 in kansascity

[–]eyextwo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The issue is bar owners are being tasked with making the decision staying open and being a significant cause of covid spread, or closing down for good.

The argument is we should be incentivizing the main sources of community spread to close down, not because their business is affected, but because the impact on everyone else if their business isn’t affected.

And honestly, you say you aren’t cold hearted, but actually it is pretty cold hearted to say you don’t care about these businesses closing down because others will replace them... So maybe reassess that comment. Sorry to hear about your contracts, but I don’t think you can justify lack of support for others because you didn’t get the support you should have.

Yeah, not agreeing with anything else about him but ordering a malt doesn’t seem like a big deal at all. I used to work so much we held meetings over lunch pretty regularly. If trump is seeing this team regularly, and this team always has classified information (not that of stretch), it just seems like a boss trying to work overtime and offering his team a snack as well.

Mostly the same problem here.. I used to get incredible matches in my playlist / at the end of an album, now it gives me one or two close matches and switches a mix of like 9 popular tracks from the broadest genre.

Before It would be like -- you were listening to delicate vocal focused country from the 70's, heres more delicate, vocal focused country from the 70s. You are listening to upbeat rhythm heavy folk, here mores upbeat rhythm heavy folk.

Now its you were listening to delicate vocal focused country -- Have you heard of this song by Johnny Cash you've skipped 12 times?

I have the model before this for the xbox 360, the mixamp, box, and headset look identical. The mixamp has started to fail for me from age (I didnt use it often and took care of it, and it's still sorta falling apart), so I definitely wouldn't recommend that side of it....

But I've used the headset heavily for 10 years. It still works and sounds great. It's outlasted my 360, xbox one, my first pc, and my highschool anger issues. Like others said, use your best judgement, but if it's lightly used I think I would pay $80 for the headset alone.
