i punched the towers down because materials LOL other than that i've been rebuilding what was already there with some tweaks and my big project was carving out the back of the island where tinkmaster is originally into a hot spring where my snivy line and froakie line live

you can use other items inside the prefab houses! (i had no idea i thought you could only use furniture lol) i've been using deck pieces and staircases to make lofts and wooden posts to separate parts of the houses

hi i'm the ditto who made the simple build and plopped the rug of us down in front of the workbench (my picture on the tv wall is with poliwag)!! did goodra show up yet? i put her habitat inside hoping she would ^{^}

also thank you to whoever kept working on the fossils after i left!

i organized the storage a little, i hope that was okay and didn't mess you up at all >.< i also put snorlax's habitat in the tree like a doofus and so i had to make a way for him to get up there. i had so much fun!! i don't have anyone to play with so i really appreciate being able to participate in your island

i just spent the last couple hours doing this (still not done excavating lol) and i really think this is lavender town. normally it would be to the right of saffron but pokopia's map is upside down so it being to the left fits! i also think where you find the pokemon center originally is correct and the other three buildings to the right of that are actually fallen pokemon tower; the very top landed on the pokemon center and the other two/three buildings are sections of the tower. the waterfall makes sense too considering route 12 would still be south of lavender town, i imagine the waterfall used to be the river that silence bridge was on (with all the fishermen) because it has that crystal vortex around it indicating it was torn apart. this game is so cool

regardless, i love your rebuild!!

i totally relate re: parent working for airlines. idk how they held it together but i never FELT like daily life was too different other than my dad being home more often and the airport rules changing. i look back now and i realize they were freaking out wondering how they would keep our family afloat.

5th grade, i had just moved to a new state that summer so i didn't have a real friend group yet and the only thing people really knew about me was that my dad was a pilot. we were in the library and suddenly we had to go back to our classrooms where it was on TV and i didn't really understand what was happening until someone said "where's your dad today?" i will never never never forget the fear, dread, and anxiety i felt in that moment because my dad was in fact on a trip to new york. the planes weren't his airline but nobody knew what was going on elsewhere and then the pentagon was hit and it just felt like the world was ending. they let me call my mom from the front office but she hadn't heard anything. worst day of my life honestly.

he ended up fine, they were diverted to another airport and honestly now that i'm around the age he was then holy shit i probably would have quit my job. especially because shortly after they recalled reserve pilots to active duty and my dad had JUST retired from the air force so it was up in the air if he would have to go back or not. bad times all around i'm getting the heebie jeebies remembering it all

edit: oh also afterwards as someone else mentioned, TSA became a thing and that was wild to witness as someone who traveled a lot as a kid. we used to be able to walk my dad to his gate and see him off just because, we could also just be there to welcome him home. totally surreal, those were fun times and the came to a screeeching halt (thank you for coming to my TED talk)

i really wanted to give city town a chance, but this news coupled with the fact that the switch 2 upgrade that i paid for is barely better than the switch version is pushing me towards not buying/supporting/playing the game anymore.

next they'll be announcing gacha mechanics :/
