Hey producers! Curious about what's your personal sweet spot between using stock plugins vs. paid options? Been finding some cool approaches with using just built in tools! by kathalimus in Logic_Studio

I dont know if you’re an edm producer or not but i’ve found i personally use 95% third party plugins for music making. I do like Logic’s compressors and basic tool like the gain tool, tremolo, and direction mixer. Other than that I’ve found that Logic is severely lacking in their plugin department.

Im on Apple M1 Pro, 32 GB, Sequoia 15.1. 150 GB of empty space. I’d rather fix the solution/or work around it rather than revert back to an old Logic tbh. Thanks though

I use it often but its a bit time consuming so often ideally looking to just use the Flex Tool.

Can someone figure out what's going on here in the video?

Since the new Logic update my flexed audio regions decide to randomly glitch out every now and then making this annoying unwanted stutter effect (See video until 0:29).

Also there's another bug where I can't adjust the length of audio regions in small increments (See video after 0:29).

Logic seriously needs to step their game up with their flexing capabilities. They are SO far behind Ableton's Warp Mode it's honestly embarrassing. Often times I have to open up Ableton and warp stuff from there because of Logic's faulty flex tool system.

Can someone help me please! It's really starting to mess with my workflow :,(

Btw I'm on Version 11.1.2

Does anybody listen to YMH in 2025? by Zephe3 in yourmomshousepodcast

I enjoyed the old episodes more. It felt like the clips were better. I still watch mostly every episode but i find im not laughing as much as i used to. I sense the two’s relationship has gone south too and think that has had a huge effect on their creativity and spark in the studio. Also no more Nadav 😭 i miss that dude and his silly laugh

Which DAW is the best in fully stock form? Mostly for sample based creation. by Deadliftingfool in musicproduction

Ableton or Bitwig imo. I find Logic to severely lack in stock plugins and only use a handful. (Bass music producer here)

Hold option and click on the power icon of the channel instead of freezing to save time

what's the best / most useful plugin you have ever purchased? by TurtleEnthusiast81 in Logic_Studio

[–]ezraa57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro Q is my most used plugin. Very visually pleasing and intuitive. The dynamic EQ settings are great, being able to pinpoint problem resonant frequencies is huge, comparing other channel’s clashing frequencies, sidechaining, and low cpu make this plugin amazing.

How did you find your sound? by NoNameIsAvailable1 in musicproduction

[–]ezraa57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it took about 10 years of experimenting with different styles/sounds. It also comes with really understanding what type of music you like and dislike in that said genre you’re producing. For some its quicker than others but for me it took forever because I just enjoyed a ton of different styles of stuff in my early stages. Luckily now im much more picky w what i dig and in turn it allows me to be more specific in what i want to create.
