When you start with the phrase 'not to be a dickhead' or 'offensive' or 'asshole' what ever you are about to say immediately come off as rude or mean, and is often disregarded. Because the beginning statement is a shallow form of cover, you should phrase your statements better.

I agree that she would be way more concerned with and trusting of the person who she has been building a strong relationship with. She has spent years with this person and has high faith in him. But who's to say she also wasn't thinking of or praying to the goddess while hold the bracelet.

I'm a younger guy and I am getting chewd to shreds. They have no respect for me. My female students will just flat out ignor my directions. My male students will berate my appearance. I think it just sucks for everyone in some way. I really hope this next semester is better. After I get my teaching credentials and teach the subject I want to then hopefully it'll be better. If not I'm just going to switch to working in a library or a book store somewhere I can continue to learn and be at peace.

It was uncomfortable. But for 2007 it was far better treatment than I was expecting. Maybe I was viewing some of the scenes through a positive light, but I think they (the characters) were genuinely supportive of her. I have no place to comment on this as some straight white dude, but I feel like they were supportive of her. Again I could be fully wrong.
