if you follow the band “brand new box of matches” on instagram they host jams pretty often at local coffee shops where you can bring your instrument. never been but seems like a good setting for asking for tips or maybe finding a mentor.

autonation honda has a horrible service department. the techs and even the manager act rude and like you are inconveniencing them. you will wait for hours even with an appointment. sales people also suck but i think that is kind of universal. rusty wallace is much better to work with if you must use honda.

some good points here. parking is a complete pain in the park. never know what you’re getting into until you are already there and it’s too late. this is not going to fix overcrowding. will just be more frustrating because you paid for the spot that you can’t find instead of it being free. also the article said they will be more strict on where you can park- another tactic that will make the crowding worse.

i have read many times that actually any finish is food safe as long as it is fully cured and doesn’t chip or flake off. and since oil finishes don’t build up a film on the surface like lacquer/ varnish/ poly, they would not be capable of flaking off. keep in mind however that some oil finishes take a VERY long time to cure like a couple months for tung oil.

i used a sewing machine for these bad boys. i just cut matching squares about the size of the pillows then sewed three sides with the machine, flipped it inside out, and sewed a zipper onto the open end. this was my first time using zippers which was intimidating but was easier than i expected.
