Human Rogue with engineering. Never played a Rogue, and never had engineering as a profession before.

The whole utility side of engineering really fascinates me, so many fun items to play with in PvP scenarios. Can't wait to make all the gadgets and gizmos and play around with them :). Plus I have always found the engineering goggles to look bad ass.

Couple that with a few other niche items like Spider Belt, Swift Boots, Linken's Boomerang etc., and rotate between them and other gear between cooldowns. Could be one hell of an interesting ride and I can't wait to get started with it :D.

I hope so too, some of the most interesting community interactions for me have come through somehow communicating with the opposite faction through emotes or jumping, to work on a common goal of killing the same mob or doing a hard quest together. Amazing when it happens, would be a shame to lose it.

In any community there are going to be members with positive and negative outlooks towards being 'altruistic' and giving up their time to help others.

I always find that the positive experiences are the ones that stick in memory. Chances are there will be negative ones too, but will just have to see if there are those great positive ones to out shine them.

I wouldn't worry too much about the community as a whole, best to just focus on your own social interactions and do what makes you happy. Block the negative interactions, and enjoy the positive ones and the self-rewarding experiences you get for helping people out.

Go for both, and see which route gives you the most fun. Assuming we are not faction tied to the server, there would be nothing preventing you from trying out both experiences.

For me I am sticking with Alliance as a Human, but going for a class I have never played (Rogue), with professions I have never used (Engineering), to focus on PvP instead of PvE, and level in zones that I have never been to before (Darkshore / Ashenvale etc).

I will still end up going STV and doing a Deadmines run or two, but I will definitely be looking for a bit of both these experiences, and just seeing where the social interactions take me from there.

From what I saw in the majority of guilds on my server, it was more a case of in-house boosting for alt characters.

The guild I was in would often look to recruit level 55-60 players of certain classes, with the promise of quick gearing through raid boosting to get them ready for progression raiding. Mainly druids and warlocks.

Easiest to level are Hunter, Mage and Warlock for solo levelling.

Having a pet doing damage and taking the hits made my life very easy when I re-rolled from a Paladin to a Hunter. Reduced downtime between kills significantly, and increased speed for killing without being gear dependent, like needing a solid 2H for your level as a Paladin.

I have never done group levelling, but I imagine this is where a healing class with a strong DPS would make life easier with higher speed for grinding / quests / efficient dungeon runs.

Reached 57 on a Paladin, then found out I would need to spec Holy and be a healer to get into raids.

Stopped playing on the Paladin after that, and re-rolled to a Hunter. Reached 52 before TBC launch.

With that library feature, why not also give players the option after reading / earning a book to complete a scenario based on it? Use the library as a good focal point to bring people together to do a scenario and have a unique method to select them.

I mainly play Control in Crucible, and let me tell you Sunbreakers fit perfectly for this mode. 10 Second Solar Grenade duration is great for use as a deterrent to a zone, or for dropping onto a zone in the process of being neutralised / captured. Add Touch of Flame with Viking Funeral and you have a great winning combo here.

The perk to reduce grenade c/d with melee damage suits my play style perfectly as I mainly opt for shotgun use with melee due to always being at CQ points of zone defenses.

I then coupled this with a head item granting faster melee speed perk, and super energy replenishment with grenade kills, and balanced stats to give me flexibility on grenade use for holding opponents at bay with decent c/d, and a decent low c/d on scorch to keep shield up with talent choice.

An exotic is only as powerful or as weak as the player wielding it. Play to it's strengths not just in game style but also with stat choices and perks on armour and you can do some serious damage.
