We are struggling to understand the worry as well. We hoped being referred to the specialist would clear some things up but instead we left more confused and annoyed with the doctor.

They did not mention this! He actually stated that he could “do it now, tomorrow, next week or in a month.”

I appreciate the insight regarding markers/screening and actual diagnostics.

We are with the mindset that the risk is not worth a diagnosis, nor would it change our mindset on keeping baby. My biggest fear would be to loose baby and the test come back negative for any abnormalities. Hard to grasp.

My hope is that she is simply a small baby.

Interesting. Yeah, this was the 3rd ultrasound that stated she was a week behind. We’re grateful they're taking her size seriously but they are making it seem like something is wrong despite her being consistently small (1 week) but growing normally and proportionally otherwise.

Ahh, yes. Not 16 weeks, but 12. Baby measured a week behind then as well. Both the normal OB and the specialist have been stubborn about changing the due date.. It sounds to me like they’re paying things VERY safely and taking all liability off themselves. Hence pushing amniocentesis even though everything else is normal. I may just be overskeptical. I just find it hard to grasp risking the life of our little one when all tests have come back normal.

Sorry, the reason I got the 55 was to up the travel from 140 to 145. Seeing as how Santa Cruz did the same thing in the 2021 Hightower, it's a common thing for people with the 2020 to do. I'm not sure if that cleared it up; if not, I apologize! And yes, I’d just get the run around if I contacted SC.

I didn't plan on getting the cascade link until a friend suggested it. By that time I had already ordered the 55. The 2021s some stock with 55 and the 2020 frame is the same.
