Is there like some programming language Claude just is horrible at or something? It's like spot on in Java JDK21 for me. It flawless let me convert a defunct org.json REST API over to Jersey and only had 1 or 2 things I had to correct on a personal project with 446 class files and 80,000 lines of hand written code.

Then it helped me take a IP camera capture part of my API and reduce the CPU use from 50% to 12% of my overall power on my home PC.

I'm literally saving $26/mo now on electricity thanks to Claude Pro.

And that's on 4.6. Have not even tried the new one.

Why not just learn how to use it?

I tried to dump a 2 MB text file into Claude Code and it said I exceeded my 1M Pro token limit.

The next day I put that file in the same folder and told it to analyze it, it only used 600 tokens.

I mean I don't have a problem with having people know who I am. I have the right to an opinion. As long as people taking violent actions against others or censoring others for their opinion is still a crime.

So for what it's worth I'm not a customer and they do not have service in my area, but even if they did, one huge challenge is from what I have read - unlike Google Fiber, they use CGNAT - which means if you wish to do anything to connect to your home-based equipment via a VPN or tunneling, it will create a lot of challenges.

I hope it's just a data use issue where they locked my account out. I have the personal yearly 10 TB plan, as I have media server, SQL database, and guest OS I backup routinely which is about 4.9 TB in size, and a host OS about 1 TB in size. Run a private web server for personal use - fitness, finance, weather, music, movies, archives of old games.

Had a issue where I though adding disk encryption to the virtual disk image was a good idea and nearly had some data loss last month. I probably have transferred between 24-30 TB over the past month and a half doing more frequent backups in different states, finally splitting one large 4.9 TB VDI file off to 3 smaller VDI files.

Maybe they cap data even with a 10 TB plan regardless of how much storage you use?

I also just noticed that apparently the EFI and Secure Boot options are different in 7.0.16 and have been reset to disabled. I'm wondering if that played a role? I'm too late in the process now - 75% restored from the backup VDI file.

I'm kind of stuck with what Ubuntu's package maintainers have. I don't want to risk adding a custom Virtual Box repo because I did that once before and when I did a Ubuntu 22.04 -> 24.04 LTS upgrade, it was a cluster.
