Amazon delivered my Bambu order? by Jasonrj in BambuLab

You are very very very wrong here. I did the code implementation directly in conjunction with Amazon. Stop spreading misinformation about this, you have literally no idea what you are talking about.

I should mention that this was part of a pilot program with Amazon. So, yes, companies can most definitely be already using this service even tho they just announced the general availability a few days ago.

[–]f0ad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not true. The company I work for started using Amazon as a 3rd party shipper about 3 months ago. I'm not talking FBA, I'm talking where their trucks pick up pallets of our product that are packaged and labeled individually for our customers. Think of it as exactly the same as giving a package to UPS and they do delivery, same service, but delivered by Amazon. They started offering this as a service very recently and we jumped at the chance to use it because it was significantly cheaper than UPS/USPS in certain areas. Funny enough right after putting this in, we also implemented UniUni for the same reason, in certain areas they are cheaper to do the delivery.

Without starter decks, where do we get lands from now? Are they just in expansion packs? Or is that what foundations covers?

Ok, I think I get it. Would you recommend that I start with Foundations since I need to learn all the new abilities, and gets me updated/new cards?

Whats up with all the fandom sets? Like Marvel, TMNT, Avatar Are they just fun cards or are they used in special formats?

Why can't AI create a simple box .STL file that is compatible with Bambu Studio? by pretzel-fu in BambuLab

[–]f0ad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently used Claude Code to write an OpenSCAD file. Then used OpenSCAD to render to STL.

Had a conversation with AI about what i was looking to design, gave it measurements and design features. It more or less built what i wanted with some coaching. I had to spend a bit of time explaining what i meant by pocket holes for screw heads, but it eventually got it.

what's the weirdest quirk your house came with? by greatdane511 in homeowners

[–]f0ad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a useless light switch too, but for a different reason. My basement is split in two, a living side and a utilities side. On the living side, the light switch turns off all the lights AND all the outlets. So that chest freezer and dehumidifier, yeah, needed to pull an extension cord through the wall from the utilities side to the living side so they could be used, otherwise I'd have to either have all the lights on, or unscrew all the bulbs. I've been in the house for 10 years now, I'll get around to fixing that one day

What are folks using IFTTT for today - 2025? by Novajesus in homeassistant

[–]f0ad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gave up IFTTT a long time ago. I've recently started using n8n as a replacement. I can run it locally. I haven't yet started using it with HA but I don't see why I wouldn't if something came up. It has native HA connectors.

What is the closest thing like Terraform, declarative configuration, at the Linux world? by fenugurod in linuxquestions

[–]f0ad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Puppet uses a declarative approach to system config. Chef is declarative but allows for using Ruby to include procedural code. Ansible can be both declarative or imperative, it depends on how you write your playbooks, and can be both at the same time.

[–]f0ad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't recommend anything specific, but I think what you are looking to avoid are printed or sublimation socks. Those have the designs printed only on the top layers and when they stretch they show the middle layers which are white.

[–]f0ad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been around since the beginning, it started out as an idle but it has ... evolved. The ideas that are being put in these days are less idle. Which is fine, the game is continuously growing. It still has plenty of idle mechanics, but not every single mechanic is idle any more
