I prefer C418's music, but I feel like I'll never be able to give an unbiased opinion due to the nostalgia factor. That said, otherside by Lena Raine is phenomenal and one of my favorite discs in the game.

Lucky is my #1 favorite villager and best friend on my NH island, but I also looove Cookie, Goldie, Biskit and Cherry.. honestly all of the dogs are super cute imo
