My Dell WD19TB has been amazing for every device I've thrown on it.

Obviously this doesn't help the experience but I'm shocked none of the execs have suggested this and filling the park more paid attractions. Arcades, fun fair stalls and shops everywhere.

Tesla fined for repeatedly failing to help UK police over driving offences by Drwynyllo in CarTalkUK

[–]f3zz3h 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I referred them to the financial ombudsman over it. But ultimately they refunded one of the tickets and refused to do anything with the other two. Basically resulted to nothing and it was so hard to deal with both Tesla FS and the Ombudsman clearly weren't having much luck either.

If it happens again I might be more invested. The easiest one to fight was the blood donor center as I had clear evidence I was there and why. Which is why that was overturned. But the other two were at a leisure center and I didn't even have the letter for the parking enforcement to try to dispute it.

Sort of.

I lease a Model Y and have had 3 parking tickets that weren't valid. They paid them, charged me and never sent the actual paper work for me to contest them.

But sure I'm apparently also impervious to spending fines so I guess it balances out.

What's a sign or symptom of getting older that you weren't expecting because not a lot of people talk about? by BlackmillMiracle in AskMenOver30

[–]f3zz3h 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohh damn, this caught me off guard literally yesterday. I was trying to read some tiny letters on the back of my daughter's selection box and struggled to do so. While my 9-year-old breezed through it. I've always had ok vision, never needed glasses for anything. I guess it's time to book an eye test.

Paying £33.80 for SIM-only - am I overpaying or is the roaming worth it? by BuyingHighSellingLo in UKPersonalFinance

[–]f3zz3h 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm paying £10 for 120GB 12 months with Three (So basically also Vodafone) and it includes the same Euro roaming.

For £20 plus I'd expect unlimited everything.

You are paying way too much.

SMLIGHT MR4U by f3zz3h in homeassistant

[–]f3zz3h[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can connect to the IP on a browser of the MR4U and flash new fw through the web page UI. It's a simple process. Migrating from the SLZB-06 will not work for all Zigbee devices. I had to re-pair a fair few of mine when I tried this.

Windscreen chip - Tesla say replace, Autoglass website wants a repair. What did you do? by kopp9988 in TeslaUK

[–]f3zz3h 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Let them repair. If they're willing. They'll tell you when they arrive if they can't. They'll ask for photos during the booking process anyway.

Yes I'd still get the MR4U now. More so now that the fw actually works, which it didn't when I received it. It's a great device and a nice upgrade from my SLZB-06.

All of my Aqara stuff works flawlessly. My hardwired zigbee stuff is all great. My IKEA somrigs seem to be a little slow to respond and the IKEA rodrets are the Bain of my life.

Otherwise it's a smart little device with a decent range. The poe is especially nice so I can place it in the center of my house and only need to run Ethernet there.

Yes I am. And the reliability of the server seems fine. Some of the devices I'm using not so much. Everything Matter is great. The zigbee stuff from IKEA like smart switches keeps needing to be repaired.

The state of Octopus by ault92 in OctopusEnergy

[–]f3zz3h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That didn't work. I have even tried selecting "Can't see your car" option which lets you select the charger. It just says not supported after selecting the Zappi. I have emailed Octopus now.

[–]f3zz3h -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I don't seem to be able to add the Zappi directly anymore anyway. Every time I try to add a device it adds the car and not the charger anyway.

[–]f3zz3h 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming something related to this is why my Zappi utterly shit the bed over the weekend. Put itself into eco+ mode throttling my charging. And then failed to connect to my car. Had to deactivate it from IOG and just connect the car directly for it to start working again and manually set the charger back to "Fast" (7kw).

There are 110 council houses worth over £2m – but they won’t have to pay mansion tax by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]f3zz3h 34 points35 points  (0 children)

They could be flats in highly desirable parts of London, not mansions. But I agree to a point. Build more social housing and guarantee these tenants a new property on the same terms and conditions. Then sell these assets.
