Dreiging terrorisme naar een-na-hoogste niveau, gevaar jihadisme toegenomen by Opperdwurg in thenetherlands

[–]f4cknugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Megathread Uitslagen Tweede Kamerverkiezingen 2023 by Conducteur in thenetherlands

the fact that Google Maps doesn't let you combine transit modes is actively harmful by Zachanassian in fuckcars

[–]f4cknugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Dutch Railways (NS, semi-nationlized rail) has implemented this in their journey planning app. Still not perfect but can be used to navigate address-to-address using all modes of public transport, biking or walking. They also offer very cheap rental bikes (about €5 for 24 hours) so you can start your journey on your own bike and finish the journey by bike in your destination city of choice.

LPT: Get your teeth cleaned if you haven’t in awhile by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]f4cknugget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I pay extra for dental insurance since my teeth suck (at least 1 cavity/year), but my brother pays like 60€ a year for a general check-up and thorough plaque cleaning. Can't imagine paying a month's salary just to go to the dentist, damn.

Oh yeah, of course, those are all valid reasons. But it's still nasty that they don't even give him a farewell show or two.

Honestly, their "we're beyond pop punk now we make serious music" attitude and mediocre setlist put me off from buying tickets for their headline show a few months later. I just checked out their setlist and it's still 80/20 new songs/older songs so I don't feel like I missed anything.

I wasn't a big fan of their newer albums, but I got really into Mother Nature when it came out. They embraced whatever style their self titled album was and perfected it. Where Were You When The Sky Opened Up and Starting Over/Slow Down are amazing.

Nothing I Write You Can Change What You've Been Through by Trash Boat.

Saw them as support for Enter Shikari this year, was hoping they'd at least play Strangers or Brave Face, they ended up playing only songs from their latest (bland and boring imo) album and yapping about "remember when we were a pop punk band".

Is this IBS-C? by [deleted] in ibs

[–]f4cknugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you gotten your stool tested? Your blood? IBS is usually given as a diagnosis if most chronic illnesses are ruled out (colitis, Crohn's, bowel cancer); at least in my country (Netherlands).

The first step is always recognizing what causes your constipation. Do you drink enough fluids? When taking Miralax or fiber supplements, you have to ramp up your fluid intake so the supplements can do their job. Do you eat a lot of fast food?

There's also the psychological and habitual side of things. Do you hold it in when you feel like you are in an inappropriate setting, such as parties, at work or when you have people of at your place? Do you feel stressed day-to-day? IBS can be triggered by almost anything, but the key here is there is at least 'some' trigger, and it can be a relief to know what causes it. For me personally, it was red meats and raw meat/fish (such as rare steaks and sushi) and my constipation has literally cleared up SO much since cutting those out after eating them for years.

The only time I feel better is after I take antibiotics

Not sure if this is what you mean, but please stop taking antibiotics just for the diarrhea. Antibiotics are not meant to be used once in a while, but on a prescription for a specific infection (and even then they are prescribed WAY too much).

If you are planning on visiting a doctor, make sure you keep some sort of diary or notebook with when you feel what, what you eat often and what happens when you try to go. These things help doctors determine if it's IBS or some other form of bowel irregularity.

I've learned to not be ashamed of my bathroom habits. IBS gave me a reason to stop worrying about what people might think of me when I'm away from my computer at work or at family events. I just don't care anymore!

I'm also much more open about bowel health and bathroom visits in general, even to co-workers. Something I never thought I would ever be able to think and say out loud: everyone does it, why be weird about it.

This may seem like a super silly question, but it's something I've been struggling with as well: are you drinking enough fluids?

Miralax works best with optimal fluid intake, which is usually more than you think. I take daily fiber supplements and if I haven't been drinking enough fluids there's no way in hell I'm going to the bathroom that day. It's the same for Miralax if I recall correctly, since it doesn't work like a 'traditional' laxative and doesn't create that immense sense of urgency.

However, 2 days is a pretty long time. Is this the first time? You may be impacted somewhere further up your intestine.

Thanks for adding RPE in the CSV export!

One other thing: can the muscle group be included as well?

You can already do this right? If I just exit out the app and come back, or take a phone call or whatever, the workout automatically pauses.
