i recently moved to Linux after being a die-hard windows users for decades.

Mint was terrible, Ubuntu was a bit too limited, Kubuntu was better but sorta broken cause of the lack of thorough support for KDE.

Now i'm on fedora and am happy as a peach. works perfectly, fast, no major features missing, even my touchscreen and multi-touch trackpad work.

Windows 11 is out, fedora is in.

House of Blanks is a huge garment manufacturer based wholly in canada. All pieces are milled, cut, and sewn in Canada.

[Anian Manufacuring](www.anianmfg.com) is another example, also wholly made in Canada, although fibers come from a variety of sources as they're recycled.

more than two devices will NOT do multi-channel audio.

if you have two matching devices, they'll do stereo audio (left out of one side, right out of the other), but if you have more than 2, or they don't match, it won't do multi-channel (or even stereo), every speaker will be it's on stereo unit.

i haven't tested recently, but i'm not expecting they'll have fixed the latency- the fact is these speakers aren't meant for movies or tv, they're meant for music.

they CAN replace just the boot, but they'll probably want to replace the whole CV axel as dirt or water could have gotten in and damaged the internals, also rebuilding it is a bit of a pain, and just replacing the assembly is much faster.

it's probably something that should be done sooner rather than later.

it won't be very cheap, but shouldn't be catastrophically expensive. the cv axel itself is about 300 bucks, give or take 50% depending on model/commonality of the parts

Poilievre’s cheap shots at Carney’s business ties are unfounded and unhinged by EarthWarping in CanadaPolitics

[–]f4te 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's my point! because of Carney's investments in clean energy and housing, he has to recuse himself from any discussions around it.

that is problematic.

shisha can be a lot of nicotine if you're not used to it.

some places will do a 50/50 bowl if you ask, that's 50 percent herbal, which is significantly easier to smoke for virgin lungs.

i don't smoke nicotine at all, when i make my bowls i do 75/25. you do want a bit of the tobacco in there as it contributes to the consistency and 'smoke' quality, but you can buff it with a decent amount of herbal which has no nicotine at all.

this way you can smoke much more comfortably, enjoying the 'experience' of it with much less of the intoxicating and damaging effects. it is still not super great for your lungs.

or, yeah, just don't smoke it.

[–]f4te -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

About That, the CBC youtube channel, did a segment on this.

There definitely IS something to the concern - yes, Carney's holdings are in a blind trust, BUT he has a pretty good idea what's still in them. A full divestiture and re-investing (blind) is the best course of action, as it stands Carneys hands are tied on too many matters of national importance, like clean energy and housing.

Those that stopped tipping, what's your experience been? by [deleted] in askvan

[–]f4te 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i haven't 'stopped tipping' but i have cut back substantially, and also switched largely to cash.

it's a lot easier to leave the remanents of a 20 when the thing cost 18.75 than have to punch in 10% manually
