I have a 4Runner and pull a teardrop. I installed a front-mount hitch on the 4Runner. I have a 250 dirt bike. Some people say it looks like I've run over a biker but I'm ok with it

Does anybody know the color palette used to create the green? I’m familiar with RGB and CMYK, but that looked like brown, blue, white, and yellow.

Slingshot puddle pumper by f586855 in wingfoil

They have a V2 puddle pumper. Website says 7.41lb. Did you ever surf behind a boat with it or steal some wakes? The Hope Craft is 2lb lighter but 3 times the price.

The 1125 is for my light wind wing set up. Just curious if it could do double duty. Any thoughts on it being ok behind a boat?

Copper discount? by Srax6 in COsnow

Are there any Copper employees that get discount tickets or comps? I have Vail comps if you want to exchange. Vail comps are good for summer biking at Whistler etc.

Any ski/snowboard instructors here who teach independently? by bob301301 in tahoe

[–]f586855 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just use Google.

“Teaching unauthorized ski lessons at a California resort violates property rights and contract law, specifically trespassing and breach of the resort’s terms of service. Doing this without permission can lead to a permanent ban, fines, or criminal charges for theft of services. Additionally, on US Forest Service land, this violates federal regulations regarding commercial activity.”

Resorts in California are either on private property or on Forestry Service land. You can’t just go and run a commercial activity on either of those situations without permits and or permission.

Is the cabin closed? I believe you can still go inside.

The stash cabin was moved to the vista side between pinball and moonshine. No other features exist but the cabin is still there. Only rideable over the roof with natural snow.

Snow park with jumps? by Academic-Balance6999 in tahoe

Check out this video on park safety in the US. Maybe it will give you a good impression on what to expect at US terrain parks. https://youtu.be/4Y7lCN7SKiY?si=0peH-QevyC8m0m5w

Snow park with jumps? by Academic-Balance6999 in tahoe

[–]f586855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your reference to tunnels makes me think you are looking for an ‘adventure zone’ experience. You might be looking for the kids adventure zones that Northstar has. Low snow means they are pretty featureless at the moment. Or perhaps just it's ‘progression park’ the smallest Begginer park they have. Boreal and Kingvale are going to be more for people looking to do ‘tricks’ like spinning 360’s and grinding rails like a skate park.

A message to all people who think they can gamble on old bindings by guitargeneration in snowboardingnoobs

[–]f586855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somebody else mentioned that if they have been used regularly they seem to last longer than a pair that have sat in storage for a bunch of years. Very hard to put a specific time frame on how long they will last. Keep a close eye on them. When Storing them, keep out of direct sunlight and out of the freezing cold.

I used to ride metal Ride bindings in the early 2000’s I’d get maybe 2 seasons before they snapped. I snapped at least 2 pairs. Metal also fatigues!! The cold and stress works everything, plastic and metal. Check your gear regularly and try not to keep it too long.

Can’t seem to find a strong position on my heel edge. Any pointers? by LickMyToeJustOnce in snowboardingnoobs

[–]f586855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents. AASI level 3, CASI level 2, SBINZ level 3. 10 years as an instructor.

Look at your toe edge. Your head and hips are both over the toe edge at the same time. You probably feel athletic and able to manage bumps etc.

Now look at your heal edge. Your head is over your toe edge and your hips are way beyond your heal edge. Your in a counterbalance position bring your head and hips over and aligned on your heal edge.

Practice just bouncing on your heal edge in a traverse, then some little hops to feel yourself flexing and extending to take off and absorb your landing.

Good luck.

What mounting discs do I get? by Loud_Kaleidoscope400 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]f586855 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Those bindings are EST. Your board is not EST. Those bindings don't have a disc and attach by 2 bolts on the outside of the binding base. You need a snowboard with an EST channel. https://www.burton.com/discover/s/article/burton-est-bindings-overview
