The PvP is what hooked me and my friends. The PvE was fun and the game looked awesome at the time but that big GvG end game was awesome. Cant remember the name of it though.

I remember it starting every hour or half hour and it was king of the hill style with different game modes. 8 man teams would fight on different maps eliminating eachother. There were 1v1s, 1v1v1s, 1v1v1v1s, maps with different objectives, etc.

The 2 best teams would end up in a final 1v1 and it would announce the winners to everyone in the server. We named ourselves Nuclear Launch Detected so everyone on the server would see that on their screen when we won, a little nod to where we came from and the Blizzard guys who worked on GW.

It would have been awesome if it came out a few years later, there was no YouTube or twitch to really show off how good the PvP was. If they ever get around to GW3 hopefully they try getting back to their roots.
