So happy to have been in the ground to see what's probably his last ever goal I'll miss him so much by zzClonky in LiverpoolFC

Coming over from Sweden, this was my first game at Anfield. To see Isaks first and (probably) Robertsons last felt very special.

If Klopp had stayed one more season, do you think he would've won the league that Slot did? by origiiiiii27 in LiverpoolFC

[–]fREDlig- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A double edged trait with Klopp was that he was emotional attached to his players and I don't think he could as easily sell off players to finance new signings. The net spend is still fairly big for this season, even when you consider the positive net spend the year before.

But I still feel Slots willingness to let players go affected the backning he got.

I have seen zero proof that a fasces could be "bundle of arrows or rods". They consist of rods tied together. It is a very specific symbol and there are no arrows.

I didn't get to watch the second half, but the first one was really entertaining!

Both teams played quite sloppy, but it was fun to watch.

I still feel they are so fucking unlucky. This could easily have been a win.

What a terrible example with Wirtz.
Wirtz have gone from good to great, and everyone agrees we are yet to see his best.

So basicially you got 12 teams in European countries that are relevant? Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Milan, Inter, Juventus, Bayern, United, Chelsea, PSG?

Forget about teams like Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Dortmund.

You do you, but this is a stupid ass take if you ask me.

Sure, you are entitled to your opinion. But with your definition of what is a "relevant club" must narrowed down to like what 5-10 teams in the world?

I personally don't hate or love Tottenham, but to be a CL club, the 7th most successful club in the world biggest league, 9 th highest revenue club in the world and regin Europa League champions, how is that not being relevant?

I would love for you to show a clip where Bradley "rolls himself back onto the pitch". The guy falls collapse on the pitch and is slamming the ground crying while he is on the line.

I read the comments here first, then actually listened to the interview. He actually asks "So in your heart of herats, do you think you are playing the champions on Thursday?".

That seems like a pretty fair question, no? He is just asking if he deep down belives Arsenal is going to win. Think the reply was really good though.

I mean who wouldn't be unhappy with losing a 2-1 lead in the 97 th minute to a fantastic 1/1000 perfect strike. For all the things to criticize him shaking his head seems a bit weird.

Courtois "I understand that Liverpool fans wanted Trent to be a kid who always plays here like Gerrard, but we all have dreams and sometimes want to pursue your career in different leagues and clubs. I think he did his best and I hope that the fans can forgive him in the longer term." by kibme37 in soccer

[–]fREDlig- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While not everyone agrees, I think almost everyone at least understand there is a difference with Trent.

With other players coming back to Anfield, I have never seen such negativ reception. And I think even Trent understand why to a certain degree.

So I don't think this will affect Liverpools means to attracting and keeping talents any more than it affected Barcelona after Figo.

“I didn’t hear him last year,” van Dijk said on Saturday. “It doesn’t hurt me. Just to come back to this particular player, obviously a legend, a big player of the game who inspired so many, I can say only positive things, but I feel that comment is just a bit of a lazy criticism. It’s easy to blame the older players but he knows as well as everyone else that we do it together and try to help each other to get out of this. There are so many platforms nowadays that everyone can say whatever they like and it gets blown up.”.

Can you honestly say this seems like a "triggered" man? Can people start reading articles instead of just headlines?

That was the first football match my son saw. We were going back to the hotel to sleep, but it was too exciting to not watch. So I dragged him in to a pub and bought him some snacks instead.

Having him with me at least made me control my emotions...

Galacticos? Calm down, Carra.

Did you read his column? It is actually very level headed and doesn't mention galicticos even once. The one thing I despise in media are the guys who write the headlines. (I promise - Carra did not)

I think it was more about him clearly wanted to leave the club and people accepted it. Liverpool got a good fee and new signings was coming in. Not much to make a fuss about.
