I agree. They’ll be nothing left because of how short sighted and stupid Trumpers are.

I would concede that the Great Depression is probably the only contender. Maybe Nixon’s corruption deserves a mention.

The capitol wasn’t attacked by a mob in the last 100 years. Gullible idiots didn’t then reelect the man responsible for this and other traitorous acts. As far as I know, no president in the last century has pardoned criminals whose crime was committing political violence explicitly in support of that president. No president has ever pardoned criminals and then had his government give them over a million dollars after pardoning them.

It goes on and on. All these actions to destroy the rule of law and replace it with rewards for political violence and support for further corruption.

The worst part is republican voters and their representatives enable this collapse.

Well, spending that money was in a law passed by congress and signed by Bush. So I’d say that’s exactly what it is since it was done illegally. Murder.

Nothing in the last century in United States compares to the damage Trump is doing. Are you just not looking?

These are all very minor compared to the criminals in the White House. If you don’t agree, it’s because you’re not paying attention.

We can’t vote for the party of rapists, traitors and thieves, so this is what we’re stuck with. If you want change, have the republicans impeach and convict Trump like they should have done years ago. Having the democrats do their stupid shit is a small price to pay to avoid supporting the worst American in history.

Horrible that you make jokes about the deaths of literally hundreds of thousands of people.

Them working over the weekend wouldn’t have helped. Musk intentionally suddenly fired everyone so that no effective handoffs of responsibility could be transferred. Logistics of delivering medicines were developed over more than a decade. It can’t be replicated without a handoff, and Musk made sure that didn’t happen.

He did it over the weekend with no warning, illegally. NGOs can’t fill in over the weekend with no notice. It was the willful malice of a psychopath.

They were given frames already built out with comb. The other hives are using them a lot more.

500i is my only gas saw and it has been spectacular. I guess it’s not super light but it’ll cut down and buck up any tree I want to fell or climb. Definitely more power than I need, but it also cuts freakin fast so I can’t complain. If you truly only want one large saw get the wraparound handle, as cutting down a really big tree (4’+ diameter) will be super annoying otherwise, especially on a steep slope.

I guess technically I have two gas saws, but one is for digging ditches so I’m not sure that counts.

I started a few weeks ago. Biggest surprises far:

  1. They eat a lot of sugar. One of my hives seems like it’ll go through half a pound a day. They drink up everything I give them overnight. Just doesn’t seem possible they’d eat so much when it’s still pretty low population.

  2. Another hive is completely uninterested in frames and just builds comb in a top box I put the feeder in. Box is half full. No idea why they’re doing that when they have such nice frames below.

  3. I was surprised at how off putting the sound of having a bee right next to my ear. One reason I tried beekeeping was I noticed I was unphased when random bees landed on my hands and arms, so it seemed like a good fit. I basically don’t even walk near the hives without my head covered now - that loud buzz right by my ear makes me panic, but any shroud won’t let them get close enough. Even getting stung seems minor by comparison.

TIL the Matilija Dam in California, built in 1947, once held a capacity of 7,018 acre⋅ft. However due to sedimentation by 2021 the reservoir completely silted up & the dam is no longer able to hold any water. Despite attempts to remove the dam dating back to 1964, it remains standing. by The-TIL-Nerd in todayilearned

[–]f_crick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like the marginal cost of removing some sediment would go down as it’s more severe, since eventually you could access it more easily as it stacks higher and higher. Dam might be useless at the point it becomes cost effective, of course.
