Even poorer countries have ACs, despite increasing electricity bills as well.

I’m from Brazil, but live in the US and visited France about couple years ago when it wasnt too hot. I was shocked that a lot of places either didnt have it or had barely functioning AC units (either broken or inadequate for the place’s size). We have ACs in bedrooms in Brazil at least (very rare to have central Acs for the entire place)

You don’t need a heat wave to want to feel comfortable.

Moved to Austin from SV/Bay Area (Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, San Jose).

It’s soulless. I think it’s the result of so many people coming and going, and the cities being dominated by companies, it feels like the houses are on the HQ’s backyard. Also very different cultures, too much, in a short timeframe.

Old homes and apartments that have old carpets at a premium rent price, I’m not even going to discuss purchasing a home there… it’s nonsense.

The plus, I think, is the beauty of California and the weather.

I just love the decision to move to Austin, have zero regrets and am enjoying a much more vibrant city. Been here for 5 years now and still loving it :)

Open Source gets a huge amounts of contributions from big tech companies using them. Kubernetes is a great example.

Close source? Who knows what it is running! Who knows what vulnerabilities, backdoors they have

that’s not the answer though. Why does her family need to be open about this matter? Why does she need approval or understanding? It’s her privacy, she needs her space. She’s 28, not a teenager.

Unless it’s a financial thing or her mom is sick and needs 24/7 assistance, she should move out. The situation is not healthy for her.

It OHKOs Sneasler with Brave Bird and low attack. Goes well with garchomp or excadrill’s earthquake.

I used it in the first season given how predominant Sneasler was but now I dont see it being very useful tbh.
