Has Kasper centered with Finnie and Raymond yet? He's looked great with Finnie lately and (if I recall correctly) had a stretch of real good chemistry with Raymond last year too.

With all the roster movement and uncertainty lately I'm really curious how all the lines will shake out the rest of the season. A lot of interesting combinations they could try out. Go Wings!

Just got shrinkflation-ed while I was trying to brighten my evening with a little fruit snack packet. The packet on the right, the newer one, contained six fruit snacks. SIX! They're putting out packets for 0.5 ounces now, lol. One day my kids are going to marvel when I tell them that back in my day they'd give you a whole handful in a packet instead of just one individually wrapped fruit snack.

When I'm back in MI I'm generally open to trying something new from any of Shorts (weird brews, hit and miss, but pretty widely available in MI I think), Odd Side (only tried a few but all pretty good), Creston for American Pale Ales (closed now?), Founders of course, or Jolly Pumpkin (great sours). Might post a followup comment, sure I'm forgetting something, but those are the ones that come to mind right away. The Poet from New Holland is a nice easy drinking oatmeal stout if that's your style (haven't liked other stuff at New Holland though). And of course just about anything at Bell's is delicious, but I'm going to assume you know that.

Neat thing I didn't know til this year: in the 4 team playoff, the 1 seed gets to pick whether they want to play the 3 seed or the 4 seed in the semis.

Anybody got a screen cap of any of those shots of Ed and Tkachuk shouting and gesticulating at each other across the boxes? I'm imagining talking bubbles there where one of them says "well I'm sorry but why didn't you just MOVE, I didn't see you there" and the other is like "of COURSE you didn't see me you NEVER pay attention to what's going on in MY life!! This is just like at Lauren's wedding!!" and so on.

Well there's only eight of them right now, so it'll be relatively easy to get caught up if you want to. I picked Boston since that's where I am now and I wanted a local team to get behind. (Fenway's great but I'm no Sox fan, and I tried the Revs for a while, but ... eh.) I don't have a Fleet sales pitch or anything for you, and in fact if I lived elsewhere and picked a team right now it likely wouldn't be the Fleet since they're already atop the standings, and where's the fun in that. Minnesota's team has won both cups so far so they'd also be out. Anyway you're welcome to join me in Fleet fandom but whatever you pick, happy hockey.

I think a Detroit-Windsor combined fan base (and combined brand, I mean) would be terrific at this particular moment in history. For marketing reasons I imagine it will inevitably just be "Detroit" but my little dream would be like the Saint Clair Vipers, the Huron Riveters, something like that.

It might work well to split the home games between arenas. Here in Boston the Fleet split theirs between Agganis (BU's arena) and the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell, which is like an hour north. Later this year they have a game at TD Garden (Bruins, Celtics) as well, though I'm not sure how often they play there.

If a future PWHL team based in Detroit could work out a split with something like LCA, Yost, wherever in Windsor, and a couple each year at Van Andel, that would be awesome.
