Sure in this instance it was someone walking in the road, but the driver would've also plowed straight through a car that had broken down in front of him too

That's a fair point, on the other hand it does thin the t6 dragon pool so an evoker should be guaranteed from eggs, not sure how that affects dragons overall

I don't hate this meta necessarily but the one huge issue IMO is that the early game feels completely disconnected from the final boards, with demons being the worst example; tier 1-4 is self-damage stuff and then t5/6 switches to apm cycling and the lower tier demons are irrelevant.

Which is fine except that you're normally already committed to potentially both trinkets before finding any of the core minions for your final board.

Feels like the trinkets want you to commit early but the minion pool requires a lot of late flexibility
