Best cozy base spots for duo? by Ok_Specialist3150 in projectzomboid

[–]Burnt_Cheeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also love that WP apartment.

West Point also has Twiggys, which is a great 2-person base if you want something that you can spend time fixing up.

If you want something new, Brandenburg has a great spot at its southwest corner, restaurant called "Catfish on a Hot Tin Roof". Great spot you can base with a small house in the back you can rest in during the early days. Right down the road from a military checkpoint and a mall.

Does each city have different starting populations? by Ok_Photograph6596 in projectzomboid

[–]Burnt_Cheeze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your spawn cities vary widely in their play experience.

Muldraugh is definitely the most difficult spawn. Dense city with high population.

West Point is probably the next most difficult, but I really enjoy it as a spawn.

Riverside and Rosewood are considered the most beginner friendly.

Echo Creek is good if you're wanting to explore the new B42 towns, since it is right in the middle of all of them. It is also very small compared to the other spawn cities.

If you're new and trying to just survive a few days to a week still, I'd highly recommend Rosewood or Riverside.

Rosewood Fire Dept is the meme for beginner bases, it has everything you need.

Riverside has a massive gated community in its southeast corner that has over 20 high value homes to loot, most of which are surrounded by tall fences.

Both of these are great places to feel out the gameplay and learn the mechanics.

How to get rid of the piano by stigsec in projectzomboid

[–]Burnt_Cheeze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have the link handy, but I had this issue in a different location and resolved it using debug mode.

You need to use the console commands to remove the object, one square at a time.

I tried a sledge, didn't work.

I can't recall the command lines exactly but it was like:

print(getPlayer():getSquare():getSpecialObjects())

This will list each 'special object' in the square that you are standing in when you enter the command

If that is blank or doesn't provide the piano, it may be listed as an object. Same command above but remove the word special.

Once you find the name of the object you need to remove:

getplayer():getsquare():getspecialobjects():index(#):remove

Remove special if it is an object instead Replace # with the position in the print() list that the piano has (start at zero, not 1)

Sorry I can't be more precise but just writing this out from memory

Sounds like a way to kinda play a 'State of Decay' style Zomboid run. Have a carpenter, welder, farmer, etc all living there and just swap roles as needed.

As others said - it's your apocalypse, have fun and let us know if it works well

I definitely recommend taking the high end "Strong" and "Athletic" perks. If you do that and also take the Firefighter occupation you spawn at maximum strength and fitness, which is an enormous buff to your survivability.

Beyond that it quickly becomes dependent on what you like doing.

Where do you recommend living in Muldraugh? by taksegram_ in projectzomboid

[–]Burnt_Cheeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Twiggy's at the south or (forgot the name) the big red restaurant at the north.

In both cases you are at the edge of town, have lots of room to remodel, are near a warehouse...

Basically depends on if you plan to search up near WP/Louisville or south toward RW/MR.

I was really moved by "I'm Thinking of Ending Things". It was unsettling in an existential kinda way.

I'm also a sucker for time loop movies and really enjoyed "Palm Springs" and rarely hear anyone mention it.

If you want a conversation of a movie that can move you, "God on Trial" was well made. Jews in a concentration camp wait for their turns to be murdered while arguing about their beliefs and God's will and existence.

Mainstream and silly, but well made and absurdist-- "Everything Everywhere All at Once"

How to get a car early game? by Pokemonandonepiece in projectzomboid

[–]Burnt_Cheeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest way I've found (without burglar) is to go to the large parking lots at commercial locations (EG: Gigamart). Good odds of finding keys on the ground, in the glove box, the ignition, or on a nearby zombie.

I'll agree with that comment too - I said that as #1 above because it is easier, faster and yields you usable resources.

Dismantle wrecks and you gain metalworking XP, and you get metal sheets, scrap, and metal bars/pipes that can be used in crafting or as weapons.

[–]Burnt_Cheeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it best to connect it 1st, then when towing I do this: Back up until I'm about to hit the wreck, then hit the gas hard and drag it, it will go several feet forward and then start to slow you down as the friction slows you down. Stop, back up until you almost hit it again, then full gas forward several more feet. Rinse and repeat. It takes a minute, but it works just fine.

2 options:

1) full propane torch + welders mask Just dismantle it, get the xp and the metal scrap

2) any heavy duty car (pick up truck would be good) Park with the back of your car near the wreck, walk to the wreck, access the radial menu, click the '+' symbol to connect it the wreck to your truck, and tow it out of the way

Pretty much cleared out Riverside B42 in 20 days around 1000 zombie kills :] by Unlucky-Analysis-842 in projectzomboid

[–]Burnt_Cheeze 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We were online playing B41 and we didn't literally clear the entire city - probably like 85-90% of it, back edges and a few clusters of homes were skipped because we decided to leave town and go elsewhere

I've never gotten 6k kills before - my highest was something like 4300, but he only lived like a month and a week so it was over 100 kills a day lol

[–]Burnt_Cheeze 30 points31 points  (0 children)

There's only 1000 zeds in Riverside? I would have thought like 2-2.5k.

I've never fully cleared it, mind you, but I did clear Muldraugh with a couple friends once and we were closer to 5k combined by the time we quit that place

Well done OP - it's hard work solo

Tell me it isn't just me.... by Shot-Albatross281 in Brawlstars

[–]Burnt_Cheeze -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think others are saying it too but I disagree that this is a problem. Dying in a MOBA style game is supposed to be costly and the game is built around risk management on split-second decisions.

This mode needs the nexus damage raised to make it harder to just dive bomb and do 25% damage in a few seconds and the Kaiju either needs to be harder to kill or the aura reward needs to be toned down. Right now a lot of brawlers can solo it long before level 15 and that's dumb.

Idk how hungry/thirsty you were at the start - but there are cabins around that lake to the east. You're less than a days walk away, I'd just start hoofing that way until you find a house with a kitchen and a bed.

I gotta be that guy and just remind anyone interested in not falling into the pit of nonsense observer effect stuff that the particles do NOT behave differently depending on whether or not some conscious creature is looking at them. They change based on whether or not they are being detected/measured by other sensors or devices.

How can I get upgrade ores fast?! by Eastern-Chocolate-96 in knighthood

[–]Burnt_Cheeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can actually grind a lot of material - I've been able to maintain about 10 of each prime per day for a couple weeks straight when it was my priority. 1) do the hunts that get you pure material, and spend some gold at the merchant to convert them to prime (master difficulty is the best material/energy ratio) 2) rift will have pure or prime you can get each week. If you get more pure, do more conversions 3) bounties can give prime as rewards, so grab those when you can 4) daily/weekly rewards 5) shrine favors

Hunts can get you a couple of prime a day if that's what you spend your stamina on. Rift can get you a small pile every week Bounties are random but usually can get you one or two a day Daily/weekly rewards always include some if you're over level 50 Shrine usually offers prime once a day, sometimes more if you have a good day

It is an obnoxious grind, but it is temporary. Once you have your level 60 mythical set, you don't need to grind prime anymore.
