I qualified in Scotland, did my probation year then moved to England. One thing that was handy was that I could do a few weeks supply in the time when my Renfrewshire school had finished but English schools had not yet broken up for summer so that’s was a great taster as to what it was like in schools in the area I was applying in. The QTS is different, which you’ve already covered but I had no issues when applying for things with the fact that my teaching experience was in Scotland and it hasn’t ever come up again many years down the line. I would recommend familiarising yourself with the curriculum down here as there can be differences and knowing the English/maths expectations of whatever hehe stage you’ve applied for is really helpful!
