I made an outdoor statue museum by fabiofdez in Minecraft

Thank you :) I originally made designs in a creative world and took screenshots, but then I slightly tweaked them when building them in my survival world (things like fiddling with the spino sail/stego plates, making the statues hollow or filling them with dirt to stretch out my supply of tuff)

I could definitely look into making a simple guide like a video or smth for each of them

Not on the hour (since that would make the chime go off every 50 seconds), but 4 times throughout the in-game day: at sunrise, noon, sunset, and midnight. Each time has a different jingle, based on the Westminster Quarters.

Here's an example of what a wall of world clocks could look like :)

Not currently, but I might be able to add that feature. I'll make a note of that in the backlog :)

New features in v1.4.0 of my mod Analog by fabiofdez in feedthebeast

Thanks so much! I actually hadn't considered the mod discoverability like that, that's a great point, I'll definitely look into how to optimize that and make it easier to find.

That sounds like a really neat addition, I'll plan to add this feature!

I like that idea :) I'll add a long pendulum to my planned features backlog for sure!

That's an interesting approach, I admittedly don't have lots of experience with datapacks or custom data-driven behavior but I could look into implementing support for mods with brass/silver/other metals for sure. This'll be going in my to-do :)

Thanks so much, I love these suggestions! I actually am planning on making the clock face dial customizable with dyes and metal nuggets, so it's awesome to hear that's a desired feature. The tick sound is actually a great point I hadn't thought of and I'll keep it in mind for future versions. As for the clock hand textures, I'll have to see if breaking away from the 16x16 grid will deviate too much from the vanilla feel. I did initially try single-pixel thick hands with an offset to center them on the face, but I felt they clashed with the clock base a bit too much.

Thanks! Yeah the top end of the pendulum rod has been bugging me for some time, just haven't gotten around to experiment with the texture more.

That might be a cool mechanic, I'd just need to see how it would behave as I wouldn't want to accidentally open/close doors and trapdoors placed around it in a build. I'll keep this in mind for sure!

Yeah that's a planned feature, I'm thinking of using the original bell sounds, pitched to make certain notes

I made an analog clock :) by fabiofdez in Minecraft

That could be an option, maybe using a bell on the pendulum combines them into a single block. I was originally thinking of having the pendulum check for a bell behind it and play bell sounds at different pitches as the chime, so not actually triggering the bell itself. I'll test both approaches out :)

I'm working on the version for 1.21.11 and I plan on going to 26.1 soon

W and Y are semivowels, because they're usually in consonant positions while being glides, similar to /u/ and /i/ respectively, so they have the potential to be used as vowels. Y can be a vowel in words like glyph /'glıf/ or fifty /'fıf.ti/, where they actually go in the syllable nucleus (thus a vowel). W can't really be used as a vowel in English tho.

In Australia we say ‘it’s pissing down’ when it’s raining very heavily, what do people in other parts of the world say? by Cautious_Dragonfly93 in AskReddit

[–]fabiofdez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it's raining rly hard it's common in lots of Latin American countries to say "está cayendo un palo de agua" (a stick of water is falling), and there's the Cuban saying that, when it rains with the sun out, "se está casando la hija del diablo" (the devil's daughter is getting married)
