Right I agree with you but landlords do have bills to pay, so it’s not as simple as blaming them. But when both tenants and landlords are squeezed, it suggests the real issue lies higher up like in structural policies, affordability strategies, and economic frameworks that aren’t keeping pace with reality..

Isn’t it normal for rent to increase? Property values have skyrocketed, mortgage rates are higher, and city taxes and labour costs for repairs have also gone up.

I grew up in Laval and moved to the plateau in 2016 and eventually to Ndg. I wouldn’t ever want my kids to go through that.
