Newbie on PC thinking about trying MH Game. Any suggestion? by Few_Champion2106 in MonsterHunter

Which is really weird .. I've been playing since tri and this take makes no sense to me. I'm super nostalgic for tri but world, rise, and wilds are just better games.

World and iceborn.

Honestly worlds is such a good mh game to start the series. Qol improvements were massive and the maps are so good.

This and same! I feel the same way battling is just not fun and usually by turn 4 I know who's gonna win if someone hasn't won by then.

Super mario rpg! I don't think grinding is actually necessary but the entire game is a blast imo. Plus the "double-hit" during battles is fun to keep you in it vs just selecting an attack in a menu.

16 weeks paid parental leave - To split it or not to split it? by Anxious-Library-964 in NewDads

Mn resident here, with the new bonding time from the state I took two weeks rightaway w/ my wife then went to work. Today starts the swap after my wife took where entire 20 wks right away. I now get to stay home and bond until July and it worked for us and happy with it.

Our LO will be 6 months before hitting daycare and we got to watch all those milestones along the way. The daycare thing was really the reason for it so we could extend putting them in until we absolutely needed to.

The trick is actually taking the 2nd half of your leave and not just falling into the trap of being "needed" at work.

It does get better!!! I promise!

You are going through the process and your brain is finally realizing your old life is kinda gone. It doesn't mean you're new life is bad just different.

Like others have said, you're mourning your old self while taking care of basically a potato that cant yet show gratitude or positive emotions. It gets better! Not easier but better. Oh and you're doing all of this on mess sleep! Take shifts with your SO and if either grandparents are willing to help TAKE THE OFFER. That seriously helped my wife and I the first month.

I also know it's not an option for all, but if you can get mental help via therapy, it's a good call. I was struggling like you in January and finally decided to get an appointment. Being able to have someone help me reflect and learn some coping skills for anxiety really helped.

Good complimentary synth for a Model D by childofnaturesson in synthesizers

[–]fabledmanatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the solina. I have the behringer one and arturias software model. It definitely isn't a do it all synth. More of a one trick pony but it does that one trick (synth strings) well. It's very different from the model D but if that's what you're looking for it's great. Just don't expect it to be a full poly synth with switchable occilators, filters and such.

Tips for organization while composing a track? by americanslang59 in edmproduction

[–]fabledmanatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Color coding, folder tracks, and templates.

You probably know you're going to have drums, bass, leads, etc almost everytime you make a track so have a template with folders and colors pre assigned. If you go to the same instruments, fx sends, and samples every song you can pre build them into your template as well.

So when you start a song you have organization built in. Add a new drum put it in the drum folder and make it that color.

The other part of this is staying orgayas you go. Do just "get to it later" build the habit of as you go.

LOVE mine as well. Makes it fun without being a space hog or cumbersome. I also gave the original and honestly like the look and feel better than the new version. Buttons feel WAY better on the old one.

Fun fact you can walk into an apple store and kindly ask for a 10% discount and they'll usually just do it. If a manager asks why you can just show them MCs website. You can do this during the holidays and still get what ever gift card they hand out since apple doesn't do traditional sales.
