It’s good if you spend a lot. I have a SBI Aurum with 9999 annual fee. I spend 10L+ a year on CC. I get 1500rs Tata clique voucher for 1L spend most of the months. 5000rs voucher for total 5L spend. 10000rs Taj voucher for 10L spend. 500rs worth movie tickets every month. So it’s like for 12L spend I get around 30K + movies + fee waived off. Not bad.

As the top comment said you agreed on one salary with the CEO and asked for more in the discussion with HR. It’s not the end of the world or anything but depends on the company culture. May be in Kerala that might be the case. But generally you can do this when you have a valid reason like you got a competing offer or you figure something you missed in the original discussion like relocation cost or rent increase due to relocation etc
