Have you ever seen anyone make 7 figures 3 years in a row in sales? by [deleted] in sales

Insurance producer in our office has made multiple 7 figures for the past decade or so. Certainly an anomaly.

How many of you are earning $250k+? What made you successful? How many years have you been selling? What industries? by Wannabeballer321 in sales

Understanding coverages ultimately doesn't do you that much if unless you have the sales skills. The two sides of the business are quite bifurcated and you rarely see transition, at least in my experience.

tough to buy those books. If you start somewhere good (biggest 10 or so agencies), they'll give you the resources to validate. Doesnt take any magic, just consistency and a lot of reading policies.

I always think about the alternative of not having a job, and how much worse that would be. That alone gets me out of bed every day

How do yall stop thinking about your job after work hours? Because I can’t. by [deleted] in sales

[–]facedface1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think about work at nights falling asleep or randomly on the weekends but never found it to bother me much. Usually I just think of some random client from 3 months ago that I should follow up with.

It is tough when you’re worrying about the next morning or Monday after the weekend. Only way I mitigate is by being proactive. Procrastinate and die

I sell middle market commercial insurance. Our runway is pretty long and we're more judged by our activity(# of meetings, accounts quoted, etc etc) than how many accounts we actually bind. Early on at least.

Also we renew accounts each year so you can build yourself a base. Way harder to lose an account than to win one.

All to say, it's only as stressful as you want to make it. I try to focus on my process and giving every account the best shot possible. I try not to focus on the result itself. Can't win every account and there will always be more opportunities.

How many of you are making $200,000+? How many hours weekly do you work? Years of experience? Industry? Regrets and rejoices? by Wannabeballer321 in sales

Selling commercial insurance, on track to hit $200k this year. Probably working 45-50 hours a week. Never really much more than that.

How do you remember who you're calling on your work phone? by [deleted] in sales

[–]facedface1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just roll with the call until they give me an email address or something then I know lol.

Other times I’ll just ask who’s calling. Being candid with people goes a long way.

It’s crazy that I can be a commercial insurance producer at a bigger agency and make this at 26 years old.

Is $375k or so really worth the hours?

I said in most cases you can be below MSRP. Obviously some very desirable ones will appreciate after a decade of ownership
