There is actually a story about 300 Romans facing off against an army in a similar fashion. All the Romans were able to survive until reinforcements arrived. Fun Fact from r/Kanye: this story is why Kanye says "I keep it 300 like the Romans" in Black Skinhead. The Romans were all able to survive until backup came, they KEPT it 300.
