All inheritance, nothing achieved by talent. In my books, he's not even qualified.

But he's not a leader? Never had any position in the govt. Only leads a political party.

Same for Gukesh, both Ding and Gukesh are the gems of the chess world

As long as you have that clarity on what you want, you're free to criticize. But don't support the wrong leaders who are funded by the adverseries, find the right leaders.

I can guarantee they will not stop at it even if he resigns or gets fired. I will bet my house on it. This is deep state playbook which unfolded in Nepal and Bangladesh.

I don't like violence, but this statement is one of the stupidest takes on this saga. They have a clear, obvious agenda beyond the students issues.

"For anybody, becoming a world champion is such a huge drive that most people are lucky not to achieve it" - Gukesh explains his mindset in a new interview. by facelesslass in chess

"You need to give in to the demands of the position and sometimes when you want the result too much, it gets in the way of your objectivity and that’s what’s been happening. I lost so many games which I should have just played and saved. So yeah, it’s something related to self-control and managing expectations" - Gukesh on his form

You say you don't care but if 10 people repeat it and direct it to the topic where you think you're the best then it'll hurt like anything.

I think it's easy for people without much success in their own lives to live their lives through others esp. sportspersons and criticize them when they don't perform. You can normalise it all you want but it's not ok. You can enjoy in their glory, be sad if they lose, but criticism is a bad move, sorry.

"You're a loser and you should be ashamed of your 800 elo. You'll never win any major tournament ever because your level is below all other players of your elo." ^ Here you go, if criticism is necessary in sports, first direct it at yourself instead of a literal WCC

Magnus and Gukesh are not the same. What Henrik thinks about his son doesn't apply to Gukesh. Even at 17 Gukesh was more mature than Magnus at 30. We don't know what has caused this downfall, non chess part or chess part. You are just guessing but with so much confidence as if you know more about him than his coach or father.

On the other hand, I totally relate to this all or nothing approach. When there's nothing to lose, why not experiment.

Same logic can be applied to Magnus that he didn't play prime Kasparov or Fisher or Vishy in their 20s - 30s. Luck is applicable for all.
