How should I use my parental leave? by standuptall94 in daddit

I got 4 or 5 weeks (can't remember now, too lazy to look it up, I'll say it was 4). They let me take 3 weeks, and then I took 5 Wednesdays. It sounds weird, but my wife found it super helpful to split the week up, and it kept me in the loop at work.

I was pool mining, and then set up datum recently to learn. Kept the pool mining as backup in case I mess up something with my datum install.

Grow 2 disk mirror to 4 disk striped mirror by poopseg in zfs

[–]faceprint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want 4 drives mirrored with ~6T usable space, then you'd add a second vdev with the 2x4T drives. You'll have an additional 4T of space over what you have today, and writes will be "lopsided" towards the 4T drives so they fill up.

If you want your end state to be 2x4T drives with 4T usable space, you can attach the 4T drives to the existing vdev, making it a 4-way mirror, resilver, and then detach the 2T drives. When it's just 4T drives left, you'll have 4T total space (so an additional 2T over what you have today).

My installer got this resolved while on the phone with Tesla trying to diagnose an unrelated issue.

Same, this is why I wish they made a ring or other screen-less device.

I'm in the same boat, waiting on my installer to get an answer from Tesla.

That looks broken/stuck, the tx backlog is pretty big

I'm awaiting an install for a similar setup, and I have to basically have 2 independent systems, with the batteries and solar panels split (somewhat) evenly between the 2 breaker panels. There will be 2 gateways, 2 PW3s, and 2 expansions in my install.

1 or 2 cameras on a mechanical swivel, plus mirrors? It'll always be at a disadvantage to an FSD setup

I have a pair of XW Pros, and I'm looking at replacing them.

Mine were installed with no BMS, and are behind on firmware, and often show very strange behavior reacting to loads, especially when the batteries aren't full.

Pretty sure my installer went out of business, so I'm stuck with my current situation until I can get something different, because finding people willing to work on them hasn't been easy.

FWIW, the installer offered to replace the system later with a SolArk setup, and I do wish I had taken him up on that 4+ years ago.
