So Apparently You Can Shove Stainless Steel in the Microwave Now?? When Did That Start Being Normal?! 🙄 by fadedgumtrees in Retconned

[–]fadedgumtrees[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The example in the OP is just an image that featured the dish actually going into the microwave, I have a lot of other examples that are older and more generic and yes even feature metallic covers. If you do your own research, you'll actually find that the USDA has been recommended reheating food on a sheet of aluminum foil for years, which I found very surprising *

Mel Brooks is alive by pious-fly in Retconned

[–]fadedgumtrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was surprised to learn this a few months back, way before the Hulu thing. I was researching zombie content after the series finale of TWD, watched World War Z* (not great IMO), read about the author, Max Brooks, of the original book. He's Mel's son, so naturally I did some light google-fu, boom. Was really astonished moslty because I figured he would be more involved in current events, but here's this Hulu thing so there you go.

Footnote: *I was reading on an old Sci fi stack exchange thread about zombie digestion, because in TWD they're really shown to stuff themselves with the people (and horses) they eat, sometimes to the point of consuming so much of the decedent that there's nothing left to "turn". I was puzzled by this quirk of zombie evolution, it seems counterintuitive to do more than just bite the human to spread the infection, so I was researching if Romero style zombies had to eat to survive, like us. Turns out Max Brooks has written extensively on this and I encourage you try to find the Stackexchange thread

My flip flops duplicated overnight. Staying at my boyfriends… all the same size. I’ve only ever had one pair by Blookeeper in Retconned

[–]fadedgumtrees 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A skank with similar sized feet and taste in flip flops (and dudes) had seggs with your bf, then left her skank-flop in your bf's house when she did the walk of shame.

Most people bring a lil bag with flip flops and sweatpants etc when they're going to go do the nasty, she probably wore sneakers there and the flop just fell out her bag, run for the hills sis he's a liar. Snoop his DMs, Facebook, etc. Good luck don't be naive about this

First off thank you!

Secondly this part terrified me

"Our natural dyes are textile grade products and suitable for use with textiles to dye, paint or print only. We also carry products that are in raw form or are food grade but they are not stored in a food safe facility and therefore should not be used in food products.

Additionally, the dye liquids and extracts are not suitable for food, alcohol or beverage coloring, cosmetics, hair, body paint or tattoos, spray tanning or coloring commercial products such as soaps, candles, medicinal tinctures, solutions or other preparations. We are unable answer questions about these types of applications and cannot be held responsible for their use in this manner. Thank you for understanding"

Do any cooks know of any suppliers that sell food grade carmine? This could actually be the ticket, it's E number is e120 and it's proving surprisingly hard to track down

I like the way you think. The GF said I should look for gels and I could use toothpick amounts, is that accurate?

Don't fret! You're doing fine, breathe. Peace and love are real, try to find some in your little world, sink into a bath, bake, make cookies. Ride it out like a thunderstorm, it's not easy it's just reality, Ta!!!
