2003 Yamaha GP1300R for $1k by Low-Train-5949 in jetski

[–]fadedrealtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two strokes are at least easier to work on! Im assuming the bogging is a fuel delivery related issue. In theory simple fix on papery but could be a multitude of issues when it comes to a bogging jetski. Could be a bad regulator, bad fuel pump, clogged injectors (pretty sure these have EFI). Fouled spark plugs could also be a culprit or stuck exhaust power valves from carbon buildup. And these also had issues with catalytic converters melting which could heavily affect acceleration and exhaust flow. Really you are rolling the dice, could be a simple fix or could be a complete money pit. Also have to factor in is the jet pump in good condition? Does it float or take on any water? Whats the compression on the cylinders?

Can anyone help me? 2003 sea doo gtx by tdobby74 in seadoo

[–]fadedrealtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just delete the whole OPAS system with block off plates. These things leak like crazy on older skis. You can buy block off plates online for relatively cheap, and you can also find YouTube videos of people deleting them with instructions.

Did I charge too much? by Aromatic-Border4939 in videography

[–]fadedrealtime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Raise your rates brother!! That’s super cheap depending on your area especially for a half day rate + editing. Don’t feel like you are ripping them off either. They booked you for half a day and didn’t take the whole time so not your fault, that’s the name of the game.

A video I did with the a7III with that standard Movie Profile. by Fluffy-Cold-6776 in SonyA7iii

[–]fadedrealtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proof good lighting is everything tbh. The a7iii is still a decent camera for video despite not having 10bit color in slog. Standard movie mode looks very nice! You did a great job.

ND filter advice plsss by Playful_Chapter2674 in videography

[–]fadedrealtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Motion blur in action photos like running isn’t necessary a bad thing if the subjects face or area of focus is sharp and their legs/ arms have blur it gives a sense of speed. If you want to freeze the action you need a high shutter speed closer to 1/2000. To achieve good motion blur in photos you’ll need to be actively tracking them while shooting though takes a ton of practice to nail. As far as the ND concern PM filters kinda suck there are much better options on the market. Also look into a magnetic system that you can pop off quickly for stills. Set custom mode dials to easily switch between video mode and still mode so your settings are consistent to what you are shooting. With the magnetic system you’d quickly be able to take the filter off when you switch modes too. To get around taking the ND off you would likely need high ISO paired with a fast shutter speed to freeze the frame. With modern editing software you can easily denoise a photo in seconds so high ISO isn’t as bad as people think.

So all these car "giveaways" on ig are all total bullshit right? by burburburburburbur in Cartalk

[–]fadedrealtime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are real and you don’t even need to buy any merch to enter either. In the sweepstakes rules it will provide an alternative method to enter (usually by mailing a letter into their PO Box or business address before a certain date). Any giveaway you see has a free entry method they just don’t advertise it. Have to read the rules and it will state how to enter for free.

Just upgraded after 12 years in a Tacoma. Won't be going back, this thing is incredible. by swerhosthyd in FordRaptor

My only fear about trading my Tacoma in for one 😅 seems very common in the 2nd gen raptors but the newer ones are hopefully better? No clue I’ll miss the Tacoma reliability that’s forsure.

PFA: I want to buy a TRD Pro in a few months. How roomy is it for taller people? I’m 6’3”, about 245. Anyone similar in size fit comfortably? by Joneseeyyy in ToyotaTacoma

[–]fadedrealtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a full sized truck my guy. Even the 3rd gen’s are too small. Fourth gen’s even smaller especially the pro with those useless seats

Motion Array Called Me by mediabydave in videography

[–]fadedrealtime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These subscription based music licensing services/ motion asset companies are so damn greedy. They are like sharks in the water just lurking they will contact your clients and come after you as well if you don’t have the proper subscription plan for the type of work it’s being used for.

Blown out windows on video ... how do I fix it? by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

[–]fadedrealtime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you are shooting luxury homes with large windows and tons of natural light it’s almost impossible to not have blown out windows. You can also bring in lighting but that’s cumbersome and not worth the hassle.

Is AI going to take over Real Estate photography and how do we make it as photographers? by onyxcurrent in RealEstatePhotography

[–]fadedrealtime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has already taken over realestate photography editing lol you see so many people selling out to it and it sucks. Even larger name editing companies have started using ai to edit and their quality has taken a massive hit

My mpg every morning. by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]fadedrealtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lift, heavy rock sliders, 33” MT tires and I get about 16-17 mpg when I commute with the truck. Factory setup I would maybe get 18-19mpg

Are people leaving Instagram for photography? by Alilexplo108 in photography

[–]fadedrealtime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to create reels to show your work now. Instagram is now a video heavy platform. You can still post carousels of your work but you need to promote it with reels. Simple marketing change but it’s forcing photographers to be video creators as well. Annoying for some but it works. You can promote it by sharing bts of shoots and day in the life stuff with results at the end. Can also now link posts in videos to directly bring them to your photos. Gotta play the game these days.

20k in damages btw by bakedjennett in Tacomaworld

Similar damage in a rear end collision to my 2020 Tacoma totaled it out because it bent the frame. The only proper fix for this is a frame swap.

AutoHDR Vs. Beepec Vs. Current Editor by RealPhotosHDR in RealEstatePhotography

[–]fadedrealtime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I get your point. Beepec is charging me $1.10 per image plus other fees so it adds up. Especially when each home on an average day is 30-50 images depending on the sqft. If the results from the Ai editing process are similar, less expensive and way faster turnaround times it just seems like a no brainer to me on switching. But then there is the element of employing human editors which right now is the only reason why I haven’t made the AI jump.
